Mobilio and Son HVAC — Local services in Cheshire

We recently purchased our home and on the first really warm day, we turned on the AC and after a few hours it stopped working. Thankfully, we have an amazing real estate agent Jason Arcuri who has found the best in each industry. He recommended Mobilio & Sons. We called late afternoon on Wednesday and they fit us in next day. The tech Steve was great, knowledgeable and explained our options taking the time to answer all our questions. Since the system was original to the home, we opted for a new system. Having gone through the haggling process for my parents HVAC system a few years ago, I expected to do the same, but to my surprise this was not needed with Mobilio. The quote was great for top of the line Trane products. Within 6 days of our initial call we had our install. The install team was professional and lots of fun to work with, they had us up an running by the end of day despite the torrential downpours and thunderstorms. Do NOT recommend! While the company has a license they do hire unlicensed personnel. Unfortunately I did not verify the license of the technician who stepped into my house. My 3 year old water heater stopped working. I called Mobilio and Son to take a look. They came. I showed them the location of the heater and walked away. 30 min later my unit was on fire. I gave them a fire extinguisher that I had. It put the flame out. The flame reappeared but my fire extinguisher was insufficient. I searched the house and found another one. After 2 more attempts the flame was finally out. The fire department came and ensured my home is safe. Mobilio & Son refused to provide their insurance. I learned today that the technician was in fact NOT licensed. But since innocent until proven guilty, I do not have proof that he touched my heater. An unlicensed person showing up at my house wasn't proof enough. I also cannot exclude the possibility of a manufacturer's defect. I am just disappointed in how it was handled.

I will not name the person because I do believe it is the responsibility of the company to hire licensed personnel. I will check the DCP website from now on to verify the credentials of anyone I hire...

This is the second time I have used Mobolio and Son Heating and Cooling. Previously they installed a brand new Air Conditioning System in 2018. I liked them so much then that I have signed up for yearly maintenance contracts for both AC and Heating ever since. Last month Joe and his crew replaced my 22 year old heating system which was showing signs of aging with a brand new oil fired furnace/boiler. He scheduled the job within a few days of me calling him and telling him I wanted to be pro-active and get it replaced. I didn’t have to wait weeks or months even though my old furnace was still working. He explained everything to me in detail about what materials he would provide, how long the job would take and what to expect and the job went just as he explained. His crew, Greg and Bobby were also considerate, professional and very skilled at what they did. They would not stop and take a lunch break!
