This facility is the worst ever. Last year I tried to schedule a riding lesson for my daughter for her birthday. They were rude and not accommodating. I figured it was because of the worldwide pandemic and wanted to give them another shot this year for my daughters birthday. I called three months ago and scheduled this riding lesson. It was scheduled for 9am on Sunday. I get a call at 3pm Saturday with a voice message saying they were having a conflict and needed to reschedule. I get a call an hour later saying never mind they worked it out everything was perfect and still on for 9am. Then I get a text message at 11pm from Chrissy saying they have a conflict with a pony and that the pony is in a show and they can’t teach my daughter. Couldn’t they have worked all that out being that I scheduled this 3 months in advance!! And a text message almost midnight the night before your appointment? How unprofessional! I scheduled my life around this for my daughter for her birthday. I am livid. This place is an embarrassment. There are so many other riding clubs around I’m shocked these people are still in business. I never write reviews, but I couldnt believe how this was handled. I had to warn others. NEVER CALL THESE PEOPLE!!! IT IS A WASTE OF...
Read moreWe moved to Chester Riding Club about 8 months ago and have really enjoyed our experience so far. It is a family friendly barn with great horses and instructors. We have already made some good friends too. I'm a father and I take lessons at the same time, or sequentially (if I want more focused teaching) with my two sons who also love riding. Both flat and jumping lessons are great, and my riding has definitely improved a lot since I started here. This isn't just because the teachers are great. It's the horses too. I'm not used to having such high quality school horses, they respond well to the leg and they are good jumpers. CRC has both indoor and outdoor rings, with excellent footing and Jamie, the owner is very approachable and also a top instructor. One additional bonus, for someone like me who has started to value creature comforts, is that the tacking up area attached to the barn and ring is HEATED. There is nothing better than getting into the ring during a cold winter morning with warm toes and fingers, and then being to untack in the same heated barn. I hope to ride here for many...
Read moreI have been taking riding lessons at Chester Riding Club (CRC) for about a year and it has been a fantastic experience! CRC has become my "Zen time" away from work/life stress and has enabled me to build a new skill that I truly love. The CRC team encourages continuous learning and hands-on experience from the minute you walk through the door; and the entire team are incredibly generous educators. I've learned how to bring horses in from the field (even if I occasionally bring in the wrong one), groom and tack them, start to understand their behavior, and of course am learning all aspects of riding/technique. I am incredibly grateful for the time and expertise of my instructor, Basha, who balances safety, care for the horses, a strong focus on proper riding technique, the exceptional ability to explain/communicate lessons...and fun! CRC is a super special place and I highly recommend giving them a call. Your first wonderful experience will be making a lesson plan with Selina. Don't hesitate,...
