EG's Food Base — Local services in Chester

High prices for common household necessities in an already food desert area. Employees have attitudes and store looks like it’s falling apart. I asked the guy at the front counter if I could order a sandwich and he told me no as they close at four. Mind you it’s 3:42p at the time of this post so clearly he doesn’t even know what time his own kitchen closes. The previous reviews most certainly are from employees or their families cause This nasty place should be shut down and replaced with a Wawa or a 7-eleven. Tons of health code violations all over the place. I literally only bought sealed things that came straight from their shipping trucks because I didn’t even trust the handmade things that came from this store that were left to buy. At least that...

Love this corner store. I been going here since I was a child. I grew up down the street from the store. The guys who run the stores are amazing and funny. They know my family personally so they know who I am when I walk thru the door. Great customer service...
