Dollar General — Local services in Chester

Went today to get a new phone charging cord. Had to ask where they were I was told by a very nice lady who worked there to ask at the register. The store was dirty and seemed very disorganized. I walked toward what I thought was an isle to get to the register(but it was apparently the area behind the register.) I noticed an AMERICAN FLAG ON THE GROUND -coming from a military background family- that is not acceptable. So I pick it up and find a spot to put it on the self. About that time some guy starts yelling at me I can't be back there, that not for the public. I apologized and proceeded to walk back from the area. So super snarky the man says well there's a sign right here. Told him sorry I didn't see it. He continued to be disrespectful and yell at me for being where I should not have been. I told him so the American flag should not have been on the floor either and if you don't want customers in an area you should have a gate up. He said There's the sign. I left without buying anything. I went there with my granddaughters and the store was a mess everything all over the floor. You couldn't find anything. After being there for a while trying to find stuff. This employee, I believe is "the manager " I don't know. Came out took a look at my granddaughters and accused them of making a mess. I told her NO...that mess was already there, and she started arguing with me. No manners, disrespectful, and she gave me the hand and walk away when I was explaining that the mess was there. Picked up a bag of charcoal the sign said $6.00 when I got to the register it rang up $9.00 I explained that it was on the shelf that said $6.00 showed the manager where I got it from where the rest of the charcoal was he said it in the wrong place, so I guess all the charcoal was in the wrong place.
