Fundaes Arcade — Local services in Chesterfield Township

Fundaes Arcade is a great fusion between an ice cream shop and an arcade, which makes it a great venue when seeking entertainment for children and even adults!

Although I don't live in the general area, I feel that Fundaes Arcade is exactly what the area needs when it comes to entertainment. If you do a quick search of the immediate area, or a 15-mile radius around Fort Dix, it is highly unlikely that you're going to stumble on some quick-on-the-go entertainment. With that being said, Fundaes Arcade is well within reasonable travelling distance for families that live in-and-around post at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, offering a great weekend escape and activity for those military families with small children that aren't looking to travel into far into Philadelphia just to get similar experiences. I took my two daughters (aged 5 and 2) by myself, and had an incredibly good time without worrying about them running away into the abyss.

Fundaes Arcade was still relatively new venue when we visited in November 2023. It was super clean and well maintained, which made the visit even more appealing. It sits within a neighborhood plaza which is definitely unique, giving it a bit of a tucked away-cozy feel to the establishment. There is limited street side parking adjacent to the venue, while being served by parking lot behind venue (to get to the lot you have to drive a bit into the neighborhood) which provides ample spaces for patrons.

Fundaes Arcade has a lot to offer for its size. It has an appropriate mixture of different games with a good balance between prize-earning skill games, claw machines, ticket-redeeming games, and stand-alone player games. The prizes available for claiming appears to be great quality when compared to arcades found in Bowleros or even the Nickelodeon Universe arcade.

We came here on a Sunday, and naturally took advantage of the ice cream sundae's deal (buy-one-get-one-free; got two helpings of ice cream for approximately $6). We went with the soft serve variety and were pleasantly surprised with the generous amount. It comes with whip cream and a cherry which proved to be a delightful treat for the kids during the intermission of their play time. There are also a range of other treats and small eats available which was nice for families that don't want to bring a small kitchen to the venue.

The venue is also set-up for birthday parties and like events which is great for those local families looking to put together an event. Meanwhile, the entire staff were incredibly friendly and communicated well with children. Fundaes Arcade is definitely worth supporting as a...

I cannot say enough good things about Fundaes Arcade! My husband and I have been regular visitors to this amazing place, and it never fails to provide us with a great time. Whether you're young or young at heart, Fundaes is the perfect spot to enjoy a variety of games and have a blast!

*UPDATE: The manager contacted me regarding my experience and review below. Her professionalism was appreciated and she spoke of the ice cream scooping issue that many others experienced. It seems that the person that was working during the time I went with my family (and when the other reviewers went) was not trained enough and therefore was unaware of the proper scoop size. I was assured this is not of their standards and that they will work to retrain and improve this issue. They mentioned if anything like this happens in the future to please ask for an on site manager since there is always one working.

Original review: Arcade was fun with a nice variety of games but the ice cream was such a rip off. I ordered two small cups for my children and literally I got a small dollop in a cup. One had a topping of gummy bears and the total came to $12 and change. Absolutely overpriced for what you receive. I was really looking forward to this place opening and having a local business in town. But unfortunately I can think of several other places to get an ice cream for that actually gives you a true ice cream cup for the price of what they are...
