High Country Drapery Designs Studio — Local services in Chickamauga

I have been so pleased with the service I've received from Jill and her team. High Country did custom window coverings for my entire house, everything from electric blinds, wooden shades and a custom curtains. I had a vision for the window treatments that was not typical for her clients (very modern, very minimal) and Jill never pushed back to try and talk me into something more conventional, familiar, or easier to execute. Instead, she embraced the challenges and did a great job of thinking through some tricky installs. This really did feel like a collaborative project. Most of these windows require precision and that's exactly what I got. I did find one flaw with a custom curtain, though. After pointing it out, Jill didn't hesitate to pack it back up to take it back for a repair. It later got installed without incident and per plan. All this happened three years ago. Last month I contacted Jill to get some help with purchasing a new charging cable for my electric blinds (I had misplaced the entire set.) She responded quickly as though I was still an active client. She happened to have a spare so she sent it my way. Naturally, I found the bag of charging cables two days later but I digress. I cannot recommend High Country Drapery Designs Studio. The owner is not a competent business individual. She and her staff are not trained in installations, communications, and billing services. Repeated errors in measurements, products arriving not as ordered or damaged confirmed the lack of experience with vendors and operating a company. The entire process took eleven months and was not satisfactory. Three months later with normal use of this shade it begin pulling apart from it's top bar. The attached picture shows 4+ inches where it has come apart. This is a disaster and High Country will not stand by their product. Do not order blinds from High Country. I did not have a good experience with High Country. I hired them to do a whole house installation with a variety of window treatments from plantation shutters to bamboo blinds, to custom window treatments. I also experienced issues with product not being up to par on the initial installation. This required their vendors and their installation personnel to make multiple trips to the site for correction. In the end, everything is somewhat satisfactory but there comes a point when you are just tired of dealing with issues when you are paying custom prices.
