Tomlinson Shooting Supplies — Local services in Churubusco

I bought several guns through Schraders auction. Schraders auction was very helpful and friendly. They used Tomlinson for FFl transfer. Tomlinsons on the otherhand was very rude to me. They charge $35 For FFL for each gun. So if you bought 5 guns through auction it would be $175 for one transfer. I have bought many guns through auctions and theres either no charge for FFL and up to $25 no matter how many you buy. Not $25 for each gun. Tomlinsons said they didn't want to do FFL and thats why they charge so high. They didn't want a lot of people coming in their store they seriously told me. Quote" I dont want a line of people coming in my store." I was thinking wow! When i was there i was shopping around and going to get some 410 shells and a 22 rifle i wanted to buy. But since some guy and lady were so rude obviously I didnt bother. Hopefully Schrader auction will change FFL dealer. I did contact Phil at Schraders and he was not pleased with Tomlinsins...

They have best selection of in-stock ammo that I have encountered in 2+ years, twice as good a selection as national brand stores. AND their prices are more than fair, almost always better than best pricing I can find online. The used and new firearms I have purchased from them have always been competitively priced (otherwise I wouldn't have bought them) and when they did not have something new I wanted they found it and ordered in for me. I am really torn about writing too good a review because then my nice LGS might not have my stuff when I want it, but when people run a business well they deserve to be praised and Hunters and Shooters deserve to know about this place! In my opinion, the best gun store in the area, including Fort Wayne. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The store's originator, Ed Tomlinson, was a fair, ethical, friendly guy; his son Dennis has carried on the store's operation/tradition in the same manner. They usually have a diverse selection of new & used rifles & handguns in stock, and they sell on consignment. Ammo and accessories are also plentiful. This is one of those gun-shops that are fun to go in and hangout, talking with the staff and other customers. My family and I have done business with this store for more...
