I don't shop here like I used to seeing that it's in my neighborhood and it was once my 'go to' place on the spur of the moment. Something changed after Rick remodeled the place. Two of the changes off the top of my head are: prices. Naturally the prices in these kinds of stores are always significantly higher than a grocery store because you are really paying for the convenience. But these prices are jacked and I think it's Big Rick's way of having his customers pay for the cost of his remodel and, they changed the hours for some reason so that it's no longer the place to run to at 9 pm for milk or bread anymore. They once were open until 11 pm, I believe they are now closing their doors at 8 pm. Now this was something that I encountered during the winter so perhaps they have changed this and have gone back to their 11 pm closing time now that summer is officially back. Being that this store is my neighborhood "one stop" since I live only two blocks away, I wish I could say something good about the place but I feel that the changes that came with the remodel just aren't giving off that 'family' feel anymore. It's just as easy for me to drive an extra block or two, save a fortune and always know that if I run out of butter at 8 p.m., I won't have to mortgage my home because I went to One Stop to buy it.
