Lakeshore Grillworks Inc — Restaurant in City of Dunkirk

If I could, I would give it 6 stars. We (a family of 4) drove from Niagara Falls to Erie this week. More by chance and thanks to the good reviews, we ended up at Lakeshore Grillwork's. We ordered four cheeseburgers, one with sweet potatoes and three with fries. We were already seated at our table when we saw the curly fries at the table next to us, which was occupied by some very nice ladies. When we asked if we could change our order, we were told that "unfortunately, the fries are already in the fryer." Too bad, but we wouldn't have minded. When the extremely delicious burgers arrived with our fries, we were also given a huge bowl of curly fries - free of charge, courtesy of the very nice girls who were working at the restaurant at the time. The ladies at the next table gave us a good tip on where to buy nice Buffalo Bills shirts in town—the store was also a hit. Delicious, roadside stop for a quick eat. Had the Texas Brisket Sandwich, it was ~$9, came w/ a pickle and topped w/ kimchi and special sauce. Poutine fries were a generous portion, and yummy, but very salty, but when in Rome! My sister ordered a special deep fried chicken sandwich, came with pickle, HUGE w/ special seasoned, breading. Also ordered sweet potato fries, size small, which was huge! Thick cut, w/ a side of special dipping sauce, a bit different from the usual honey & cinnamon!

Staff was SUPER friendly and kind and helpful. Dog friendly, which was nice for traveling with our furry friend. Seating is entirely outside, but under 2 separate awnings / a small building. They have a single restroom, inside....

June 2024. First time in & can't figure out why the words not more*around for the vegetarian options as well as local poutine. Space is super fun, close to everything (a bit of a walk from the pier but you could) and good food - fun kimchi options and classic Frisby plate. I had the smoked portobello sandwhich with side of sweet potato fries. The staff were super polite, service tiny bit staggered but I maybe waiting ten total minutes from order to food being brought out to me.
