Sharon was amazing! The chronicles of purchasing a green couch. We got there when the store opened at 10. Sharon greeted us at the door and did a quick explanation of how the store was set up. We told her we were looking for a sectional, she gave an overview about how that works in their store (neither of us have ever bought a couch before so that was very appreciated). She let us roam around and sit on literally everything before she checked on us. We found a couch we liked but it was our very first store, so we wanted to come back at the end of the day just to make sure it was the right fit for us. I’ll tell you we left, went to 4 other stores, and came back knowing we made the right choice coming to this store. I had a very specific vision in mind for our couch. (That sounds silly I know) we wanted a green couch, and NO ONE ELSE offers green couches. R&F did have custom options available but they were awful and wildly uncomfortable. We must have sat on at least 100 couches this day, Doughty’s easily had the best choices. When we walked back in about 6 hours later, Sharon was so happy to see us. We told her we would take a quick lap around the store one more time just to make sure our favorite was still our favorite. Spoiler Alert: it was. When we were sure, we went to the desk and told her we were ready! She came over, walked us through the configuration of our sectional choices, and then we went over the pick our fabric. This sectional (because of our choices) came with pillows, 2 sets of 2. I was THRILLED when we found out our pillows didn’t have to be made from the same fabric. We could choose anything on the wall and that wouldn’t affect the price. I pulled up our inspiration mock up images I had made on my iPad and Sharon kindly helped us go through the options that matched. She really made it fun, and not at all overwhelming even thought they had TONS of swatches to choose from. Long story short, we got the green couch I had always dreamed of! Sharon made the purchasing process quick and easy. Our couch is being custom made in Tennessee, so there is a 6-8 week timeline before it comes in. I can’t wait to see our couch! I was looking for a new swivel chair, and this place had better options than anyone. Excellent array of options so you can compare different versions and brands of the same furniture type. No pressure from the staff to make any quick decisions, quite the opposite, as they serve complementary soft drinks to keep you hydrated while you choose. Buying furniture online or at a big Corporate chain (no hate towards Ashley Furniture or Macy’s, they just are what they are) can be a really intimidating experience at a ridiculously high price. Getting a chance to make a more informed decision here at a better price than typical high quality furniture places makes it so that you Don’t have to feel buyers remorse when you finally make your decision.

It was a pleasure to work with Antoinette. She was knowledgeable concerning every aspect of the process, plus. I really appreciated her gentle suggestions when needed & also that she was not pushy in the least. She had a good feeling to know when we needed her & when we wanted to be on our own. A comfortable place to shop. We also had the pleasure of assistance from Bonnie, who has been there 37 years!
