They were responsive and professional and didn't try to upsell me on something I didn't need, provided the service that was described. And Bobby was very friendly and even had great conversation with him before he left.
Quick update the next guy that came was the video technician, he took a video of the sewer line from the street in and told us that it was still clogged and that we needed to replace a small piece of pipe and it would cost $8,000.......$8,000 for what amounts to about a half a day's work. I appreciate the drain cleaning service but I would never hire these people to do work other than that, ever! My wife met the gentleman on site and he clearly thought he had somebody who knew nothing and he could take advantage of, and they didn't keep a recording of the video.... Which is insane, so they videoed it but then didn't keep a recording so we can't look at the video, I have a professional pipe camera, they all record video and honestly it's a whole lot easier to review the video after the fact then try and review it while you're pushing it through the drain. $8,000, just keep that number in your brain for how much it cost for half a day's work and an excavator. It's important to note also that I own it civil engineering company and used to own a paving company, have owned excavators backhoes and skid steers and I'm well versed in what is required to...
Read moreSo I had a breaker keep tripping in my fuse box, and it took me 2 days to realize it was the sump pump causing the break! 2 days in, I was hoping I could get someone to respond quickly so I found Roto-rooter through google search. I called them and the lady answering was very friendly and outstanding on the phone and since they came very highly reviewed I was comfortable trying them out. They got there same day in the evening, for a kind of emergency situation to replace a faulty sump pump that hadn't been running for 2 days already and we were expecting more rain. Trent was our technician was very polite and professional, as well as knowledgeable and provided complete answers to all my questions. He did not have the sump-pump in-stock the first day, but kept me very well in-the-loop and up to date on when I could expect to hear from him and he was on the money each time. He came back when he promised 2 days later and installed the pump without any issues. Outstanding experience overall with Trent and Roto-rooter. If i have one lone complaint, the total cost was 10-15% greater than I had expected, however with the quality of service it was arguably worth it for a peace of mind IMO. If not for Trent's professionalism and quality of work, I may be complaining more about it, but I'm not! I'm very happy and can rest easy knowing all...
Read moreMy kitchen and laundry room sinks both clogged on Friday. I emptied them as best I could and tried a commercial drain opener product that was unsuccessful. Saturday morning I called multiple plumbers and was able to make arrangements with three. Roto-rooter sent out a gentleman whom identified himself as a manager whom arrived before the plumber to ask what are problems were; he claimed that are sewage system was clogged and told us not to flush the toilets or run any water. I had already taken a shower 🚿 and every toilet had already been used since the day before so I asked him how he would diagnose the problem that we were having and he immediately responded "Oh, I don't do the work, the plumber will come to determine the actual situation and solution, I just come to get an idea." This whole situation seemed very shady to me. About an hour and a half later, Theodore the plumber arrived and I showed him the two sinks and he quickly quoted me $545.00. for the job. I asked how long it would take and he said about 20-30 minutes. I said, no thank you, and that we would get a second opinion. A friend of ours came over to check things out and arrived as Theodore left. He used a plunger 🪠 and solved our problem in two minutes and I tipped him $100 for coming over on a...
