Steed Pond — Local services in Clearfield

This place is a fun place to have fun with friends and just chill. UNLESS... So there was this one random kid that came to watch us fish but was pretty loud and annoying. (We didn't even know him) But he did have a pretty good cast. I caught a fish but then he grabbed it and took out it's EYES and it still LIVED. He eventually left and we had more fun. There are lots of cool ducks and it's fun to chase after them. This place is fun, but when you are here, don't let 10 year old kids that can wreck your fun for you hang out when you fish. But other than that it's pretty fun, just lots of blue gills tho.

I love to fish here. There are great fish and at some points in time the pond is beautiful. I went to Steed Pond on January 10 2016. We dis not catch anything. I was fine with that. We did see some little blue gills. We walk around the pond and asked people if they were catching anything. Everyone said no. Know one was catching anything not even a bite. I know why. People litter it makes me mad. The was cans fish bate containers waterbottles soda bottles plastic bags. All of this was floating in the water. Thefish are dieing because of this it not healthy I will still continue to fish here and I do recommend others to fish here please...

Beautiful place, a far-cry to when I was a child. It was once a heavily polluted swamp, frequented mostly by drug users and suspicious loners.

Now, it’s gorgeous and supported by the city! I knew the guy who initially cleaned up this place with heavy construction equipment and everything: Trevor Anderson. He did that for his Eagle Project along with some volunteers.

I’ve had so many awful days that were made so much better just by sitting on the really nice benches here and watching fish swim and ducks...
