Made an appointment for a diagnosis on my washing machine (would not spin at high speed and some cycles would not start at all). Technician came over and I explained the symptoms. All he did was try to run the machine to learn what I had already told him. He suggested the door lock was bad. I asked why some cycles would start but not high speed spin? He changed his mind and said maybe the front control panel was bad and said he would get one ordered right away. I asked about the main control board in the back and he said all there is in the back is a relay board. I knew then he did not know what he was doing (with my machine at least) as I knew for a fact by a simple google search that there is a main control board and a motor driver board in the back of my machine. I hired this person to help me determine the faulty component so I didn't replace parts at random but he was of no help except to make my wallet $50 lighter. I asked him to quote me on the different boards as I was going to do some more research and try my luck a replacing one or more components myself. He said he would call me back with the quote but that was the last I ever spoke to the man. Tried to give this small local business a chance but ended up regretting it. If you need help with an older (no electronic circuit boards) washer they might be of help. Newer appliances, maybe try a more experienced service company. Good Luck! Read moreCalled on October 11, 2018 - the dishwasher is still not fixed. We first found out about Advanced Appliance 4 or 5 years ago when we bought a rebuilt washing machine, it came with a 6 month parts warranty has worked great ever since. So, we decided that if we ever needed an appliance fixed, we would call Advanced Appliance. Big mistake for us. When we called they came out quickly read the code on the dishwasher and ordered the part. Two days later Gary returned with the wrong part. Part was reordered, three days later Gary returned, part didn't fix the problem. Gary determined, problem was a different part, part was ordered, he just returned today with the part (roughly 55 days later, so we've been very patient). Part didn't fix the problem. Through out the whole time, no communication from Gary or the Brett (who I've spoke to over the phone). Gary is never at our house long enough to properly diagnose the problem. My wife was on the phone with her sister today and Gary was going to walk away without telling her is the dishwasher was fixed or not. Very disappointing. Find someone else to repair you...
Read moreThis 5 star rating is well deserved. In July of 2017 I purchased a washer here, and was so happy with it that a few months later I purchased a dryer as well. Both have worked great, and I have been extremely happy with them. After almost daily use they have been through their paces and held up admirably. A couple of days ago the washer had a problem .. wouldn't go into the spin cycle .. ( made a horrid noise ) I scheduled a repair and am pleased to say it was taken care of quickly and at a very reasonable cost ! It now purrs like a kitten ..
