Lakeside Appliance — Local services in Clearlake

I bought a Speed Queen washer/dryer combo from Lakeside Appliance on 5/6/2016.

Regarding the price: Speed Queens are pretty much a set price, so there is not a lot of room for negotiation. The best online price I could find was $1615, delivered to my front steps. The "White Glove" delivery was going to be an extra $99, so that would have put me at $1714, delivered and set up. That is an important point.

The price from Lakeside Appliance was $1675, delivered. Lakeside does not charge extra for "White Glove" delivery, so I actually saved $39 over Internet pricing for the same service. I seriously doubt, however, that whoever they would have sent would have been nearly as good as Raymond from Lakeside.

That brings me to the delivery: They promised it the next day and it was here on time. Raymond had everything he needed to do the installation regardless of what he may run into; he has clearly done this before. The installation was outstanding. He didn't just make sure the machines weren't wobblying, he broke out a level and made them level and the same height. He took his time, quickly, and did a really nice job. As I said, he's clearly done this before.

So, I saved money and I did business locally with a company who seems to care about its customers. Win-win, gotta love it.

Also, my wife loves the washer/dryer. Win-win-win

PS- Raymond loves his job. It was refreshing to talk to someone who loves what he does and has nothing but good things to say about his employer. I get the feeling they are pretty good people over there. I didn't go into the store, so the only employee I actually met...

Could not possibly be happier with the service that I received from Lakeside Appliance! Specifically from Ryan who sold me a used dryer, and Raymond and Bruce who came to install it. When I walked in I saw a set that was exactly like when I used to own that was great! In fact, I still have the washer although not the dryer. But it's the dryer I was after, so after looking at a couple of them and talking to Ryan, who is extremely knowledgeable, I bought the matching used dryer. They arranged to deliver it the next day between 11:00 and 1:00. At 10:50 a.m., Raymond and Bruce showed up deliver! After hauling the old one out, and installing the new one they found that the breaker had been tripped but when they turned get back on the dryer wouldn't start. Initially, Raymond thought that perhaps the electrical line had gone bad. However, he checked it with his voltage meter and it was getting power. So they loaded the dryer back on the truck, took it back to the shop, discovered that the door switch had gone bad (we are theorizing that the very bumpy ride on the crappy roads around Clearlake may have caused it to break), they fixed it, brought it back and installed it and everything is working just fine! And this was all done before 12 noon! Can you say "customer service" boys & girls? A rarity nowadays but you will get it from...

We came to Lakeside Appliance to buy our very first brand new washer and dryer! We always had old used ones. The customer service is AMAZING! Ryan was very thorough in explaining everything to help us make the right decision for what we need. I was surprised how much we didn't know. He also wasnt trying to upsell us. You could tell he was educating us and not just trying to get the most money out of us, which i appreciate ALOT! I ask alot of questions and not once did he make me feel annoying like other places have in the past. The guy who delivered it, Bruce, was also super amazing! He was very thorough in making sure everything worked properly before leaving, and he explained even more to me so I truly understood how these machines work. He gave me alot of pointers too. I also have a 4 year old who kept wanting to get in the way, and Bruce was very patient with her and very nice. (I got her out of the way don't worry lol) He was very friendly and overall this was an amazing experience. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in what they do. ALSO the price was WAY better than anywhere else we looked !!!! I would give 10 stars if I could! I could say even more, but I don't want to make this review...
