I have spent hundreds and hundreds in prints for my art business here in the Clearlake Walmart. I have had multiple less than pleasant experiences in which my art has gone MISSING, and my money was refunded. I returned because there are no other Lake County printers that can do the canvas and poster prints I need regularly. Today, unfortunately, was the last straw. When my order for over $100 in poster prints went missing, the employees in the photo department told me that my order never reached them, then maybe it got lost in shipping (though it was an 1 day pick up-no shipping to or from anywhere). I was told ‘sorry for your luck go to the website, they can help you there’ . I found the MANAGER MIKE, and he spent a few minutes with us typing my name in and told me they have no information on me in their order history. My last order for over $250 was just picked up 3 weeks ago from this location. Mike told me that he cares, but I just need to get help from the customer service hotline on the website. At this point, I was beyond frustrated. My copyrighted art has repeatedly gone missing. My first encounter with this department, and employee was trying to sell me phones under the table, so I should have known then that shady business was in play. After speaking with an overseas agent in the customer service line, I learned that the print had definitely been received, printed, and supposedly had been tossed out because it had been past the 7 day pick up time. When that was easily proved to not be true, my money was refunded, and an investigation was started in the photo department. At this point, I was curious as to where the discarded prints are stored, and returned to Clearlake location. I found the manager Mike, but he was too busy to help us. After we told him of our discussion, he decided he could get someone else to help us, and another manager met with us. As she sifted through the drawers, she found my prints within seconds. Whether it’s due to incompetence or there are employees attempting to steal my art, I am not informed enough to say for certain. But at the end of the day- my advice to you is do not trust this Walmart, and the customer service is a ZERO STAR. Not that I expect 5 star from Walmart, but I can’t believe the level of incompetence that is allowed within one...
Read moreMore and more locked cabinets, less and less employees to help you..... especially if you need to get into one of said cabinets. 4 employees wiping down self checkouts when it is a job for one. Those employees should be operating registers, as there is only one open, with a line all the way back to sporting goods. The line would be even longer if these people waiting with me to get into sporting goods/lego/hardware locked cabinets were helped. Yes, 4 others, not in my group. All of us waiting, the guys before me were waiting for twenty minutes before i showed up. I asked several employees with no results and had to call the service desk on my cell phone and cause a ruckus before we were helped. Then there is the wait in line either up front (line backed up to sporting goods) or the line in electronics (backed up to sporting goods because they have to stop at every customer and open different locked cabinets in that section). They wouldn't have to lock up socks, car batteries if the employee at the exit that is supposed to check receipts, was actually checking receipts. Then BOOM, i have to dodge the Securitas guy who is blasting through the parking lot. Not the whole parking lot, just the part in front of the doors, ya know, where people walk. He has the right-of-way through there i guess. or he will park next to you while loading your car, using is x-ray vision (i guess) to scour your car and person looking for your receipt (i guess). Between the homeless paradise and the drug addled shoppers i have announced that i have no cigarettes no less than twice before i reach the car. In all honesty, they could be employees. I have seen these people before, speaking the same mouthful-of-marbles half-English as some inside the store(it's not the masks, they have always talked like that). Maybe they are on break? They sure could be put to good use in the store. Like for unlocking cabinets so the should-be-10-minute trip to Walmart isn't 45 minutes waiting in line after the wait to get into the cabinets. I wish I could say this was one bad trip to wally, but alas, it...
Read moreJust moved to town, was early for an appointment so I stopped at Walmart to take a break from being on the road for several hours. Got a few moving supplies I ran out of & hit McDonald's for lunch, then went on my way. About 45 mins before they closed I stopped to get a couple gallons of water for my pets before everything in town was closed for the night(didn't have water turned on yet at my new place). As I was returning a text to someone, security pulled up and said Walmart wanted him, "to talk" to me.
Me: Ok, about what?
Security Guy: Um, they said this vehicle was parked over here earlier this afternoon.
Me: Yeah. I was here about 10 hours ago, spending money both here & McDonald's. I'm about to go in and spend more money-unless it's a problem?
SG: No, no it's not a problem. They're just concerned.
Me: About what?
SG: That ur parked back here(over on the garden center side, in the last spaces near the main road).
Me: Well it's a box van.. with a lift on the back that's holding my motorcycle.. it takes up a lot of space. I'm out of everyone's way here... Not really sure where the problem is.. Do they want me to leave?
SG: Oh no! No, u don't need to leave. They just wanted me to talk to u.
Me: 😑... Ok... Before I go in, should I maybe move to the other side of the parking lot? Near the main entrance, near all the RV's & over nighters?
SG: Yeah! Yeah, that'd be good.
Me: Ok then.. 10-4.. Have a good night, be safe.
SG: U too, thank u!
Everything's cool, right? One might assume.. I grab 2 gallons of water, walk out of Walmart & look up to find my van surrounded by Police shining their flash lights in, snooping as much as they can without breaking in.. 🙄 Not going to get into all that but it seems Walmart told Security Guy one thing, then turned around and told local PD another.
Moral of the story: Clearlake Walmart has issue with customers that visit more than once a day to spend their...
