I have lived many places & have dealt with this post office and several others throughout Northern Ohio. First, I have never been treated with anything less than respect & a friendly greeting. I have sent boxes & letters for my job from that post office. Everything has arrived on time or a day early. I have sent military mail, mail to an overseas diplomat & everything gets where it's going.
These people don't keep your mail. That's a Federal offense! Why would they care about keeping your mail?? I think you go into the post office & start out being rude! Then, oh my gosh, you're stunned when they give it right back to you!!
Have you thought about how populous your neighborhoods are? The mail routes have to be done almost exclusively on foot. Day in day out carrying that huge heavy leather bag on one shoulder. Climbing your broken down porches, stepping over stuff in the yard, having children yell rude things at them or throw things; attitudes & behavior learned from their parents!
That post office of yours, I'm guessing, has half the staff it needs. The people answering phones also have a limited amount of time to sort & pack their mail up for their walking routes. At most post offices, everyone does everything because there aren't enough people. Sorting mail for the mail routes is done by the carrier & I think they're amazing.
I'm not an employee of the postal service or related to one. I pay attention to other people & I'm always nice to them,. You try that & you might learn something. Maybe next time it rains, your mail won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe people at the retail counter are generally pretty polite, but the back-of-the-house and administrators are completely unhelpful, rude, and patronizing. I was expecting a registered letter from Poland. The real-time tracking information from Poland states it left that country on 12/17. It's 1/16 and there's no word on the letter. The USPS tracking has not updated beyond "origin post is preparing your shipment." The sender confirmed that the letter is stuck on the US side, but when I went to ask in person, this post office refused to acknowledge the Polish tracking info as real. "It's Poland; it's Polish!" Not only is this highly racist, it's deplorable that registered mail, the most secure mail, gets treated like this by workers at this post office.
Everyone that I've spoken to since refuses to help or take any responsibility. When I spoke to the 44113 supervisor "Mrs. Hinton," she yelled at me and said: "Everyone has a problem with their mail when something goes wrong." Well, actually, that's exactly true Mrs. Hinton. Something has gone wrong and that's why I'm calling you. Please do your job. And by the way, I live on a street in Tremont where I been mis-delivered my neighbor's mail 5 times in the last 6 months (but Mrs. Hinton thinks I am lying about this). In an ideal world, people who refuse to do their job, and to do it with some pride should be fired. Not at this post office apparently. Sadly, it's experiences like this that make people less supportive of a great US institution that provides a vital service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHere we go again, Going on week 3 from the day I purchased a license plate in Columbus. Contacted them and they mailed it a week and a half ago. After Googleing this mess of a distribution center. They rank #3 of the worst in the United States. Good luck getting your stuff on time. Total disregard of customers property. And just think, They are getting a government pension after years of doing a poor job and delivering mail late.
It's been over a week the package is sitting there. Terminate all your workers and start over. Unacceptable! Below 3 days prior Here we go again... This place is where packages go to be held beyond your control. Here I thought the distribution center near Pittsburgh was bad. There is NO reason an item should sit there for 5 days! A virus is not an acceptable excuse anymore. Another gov entity that is clueless these days.
Review below was a year ago..
Consider this review a Minus one. Everytime I order something or send a package once it hits this Cleveland annex tracking shows it sits there in limbo for a day or two sometimes three. Just don't understand it! Has to be poor work ethics. Do your job, You're getting...
