Pawn Central — Local services in Clinton

We stopped on August 15 2024 around 4:20 looking for a bike for our Daughter. The manager told us she had a Margherita bike in the back tha was on Layaway but had no activity on it for a while. So she was taking it off Layaway if we wanted it. So she brought it out. It was a nice bike. We tried getting ahold of our daughter. It was close to closing by this time. So we told them we would be back before they opened the next morning she said that was fine since they were closing. My husband went back the next morning about 9:40am because we wanted to be there when they opened so we could buy the Bike. The manager and the employee came out to smoke and the employee told us that the person that had it on Layaway gave them a payment. Mind you they closed at 5pm when we left and wasn't open yet when we got there the next morning!! The manager didn't say a word and left in a car with someone else!! Tell me there wasn't any favoritism going on there! When we ask how long can the person have it on Layaway now? She told us to check back in 2 weeks. We went down today August 29th and when we asked about the bike we were told that the other person paid it off and then put it back on Layaway! (Really) That goes right along with the person somehow made a payment while the store was Closed at 5pm and didn't open until 10am the next morning but told us at 9:45am that the person made a payment! Ha ha right. We will NOT go back!! The Manager and Employee can NOT be truthful or trusted!! NOT GOOD FOR...

My boyfriend put a subwoofer on layaway there and his receipt said his next payment was 8/16/2020 we called to pay and they were already sold to someone else when he was only like 2 days late on the payment. The owner said they called multiple times but when we called he worker told us they didn't have to call before selling it. There was no banner up at the time for layaway so we had asked about layaway and was not notified of all the rules. We were even early on our payments before but that time it was tight for money. This was back in April and payment due on receipt was August 16th 2020. Do not recommend I would highly recommend Del-Rich...

I bought a ring at Pawn Central. Very happy with my purchase. I took the ring back in to Pawn Central to get a loan on it and it was not explained to me that when I make my payments that money doesn't go towards paying on the balance owed, the payment is just to extend your loan on the thing you got a loan on. No money goes towards the principal of the loan. Be very careful and read the fine print before you sign anything and make sure you understand everything first. Lesson learned! Oh and if you choose to use Pawn Central and wish to pick up your item/items be sure to have cash they don't accept credit/debit cards when picking up...
