I went into this store to buy a cell phone because my previous phone had a manufacturer's defect. My wife and I went Sunday, October 16th, at around 11am. The store was empty except for the employee working the front counter. She was unhelpful from start to finish and did not at all care about my phone issue. Another customer walked in and she proceeded to assist that customer while trying to look up my Verizon account. The employee then asked loudly for the last four digits of my Social Security number. The other customer was within hearing distance and I was uncomfortable providing this information. In order to discuss my options it was required that I give this information. After doing so the representative stated that I would need to pay $200 to pay for my existing phone and then also pay for the new phone. In total she stated that I would be responsible for $600-$800 out of pocket if I wanted to bring home a new phone today. Questions about what this amount consisted of were deflected and her attitude was thoroughly unpleasant. She also stated that most of her phones were out of stock. Ultimately I decided to go to the Verizon store in Davenport and see what options were available. This is when she became pleasant (since we were leaving so she could goof off), as she wished my wife and I a good day. At the Verizon store in Davenport (on Elmore and 53rd) they were pleasant, answered all of my questions, and were able to explain that it was $200 to upgrade and then about $6 a month for the new phone. Much different than the $600-$800 out of pocket the TCC store was quoting. Read moreThe two guys there when I went to the store were great. One helped me out with my upgrade and content transfer, while the other entertained my attention hungry four year old. They offered her crayons and a coloring book to keep her occupied and didn't mind her running around like a goofball(We we're the only costumers in the store at the time). The guy helping me out was super nice and helpful. He made nice conversation while we were waiting on the content transfer, and was sure to let me know ahead of time that their system was acting a little goofy incase I wanted to come back later. We went into the store and were greeted by a very nice young lady. Her name was Genny and I recommend her to help anyone. She was wonderful and had my phone fixed in less then an hour.
