We were seated immediately, that was good. Things went downhill from there. We placed our drink order and received the drinks about 10 minutes later. We then ordered our meal. My son-in-law ordered a large combo with appetizer, my daughter ordered almond chicken, and I ordered cashew chicken. My daughter received a call from her friend and was on the phone for 31minutes. Still no meal. My sil got his appetizer which was a pathetic egg roll, a small fried shrimp, and two wanton skins. Our drinks were refilled four times. I was extremely frustrated. My daughter went and spoke to the woman at the register about the same extremely long time we had been waiting for our meal as the two other parties that came in after us were already done eating their dinner. The woman at the register told her they were busy (only four tables had customers in the front and the side room has two tables). We were told the wait was because everything was made fresh and, again, they were busy When this was relayed to me I grabbed a $5 bill from my wallet and informed my two guests that we were leaving. My sil went to the register and told the woman we were paying for our drinks, but going elsewhere to get something to eat. We did not cause a ruckus, but the woman ran outside after us saying we didn't pay for the appetizer, guess what it was part of the combo meal; not an additional separate appetizer. She threatened to call the police and I told her if she didn't I would. Because we had left money for the drinks it became a civil matter which the police would not engage in. She actually told us to never come back and we responded with "no problem!" Do not recommend, nor will we...
Read moreThe cashier tonight was extremely rude to one of my friends and acted extremely unprofessional. For example when my friend was a little shocked by the price of her meal the cashier said “I’m sorry were the prices not on the menu or can you just not count. “ and then my friend turned to her sister and said I’m not coming back and the cashier over heard and replied with “well we don’t want you here either” and also asked my other friend “if she was a bit dramatic?” So we proceeded to call the place when we were done to report her and she answered and we said we would like to report a rude cashier who was extremely unprofessional tonight and she replied with “oh really?” And we said yeah and she said “well maybe you shouldn’t come back”. Our waitress was a short black haired middle aged woman. Very disappointed she needs to be more professional amd learn how to deal with the public if she’s gonna work...
Read moreThank you Wongs Restaurant for singling out my child with Celiac Disease and refusing to serve my family food because Jocee had to bring in her own food to eat. Even though we have done it countless times before, they have even warmed food up for us before. We just won both basketball games and wanted to celebrate. Wongs has always been one of my favorite places to eat for many years, but now they will never get my families business again. They turned away 3 paying customers for bringing my childs meal in. This is one of the reasons why we hardly ever eat out. What is even more sad is when we left my 10 year old daughter apologised for having to bring in her food. How sad is that? We assured her it wasn't her fault. She has been gluten free for 5 years now and this is only the 2nd restaurant ever to refuse to wait on us. Shame on you Wongs...
