Super 8 by Wyndham Clinton — Hotel in Clinton

Reserved our room for an overnight stay at Super 8 in Clinton, OK totally based on excellent reviews. The reviews are accurate. From the pleasant and gentle smile upon a very quick check in down to the free self-serve continental breakfast served from 6-9am. I had mini waffles and orange juice. The place is so clean. The rooms are immaculate. Our room was very spacious and seems to be newly renovated. It comes with a microwave, fridge, ironing board, iron, and single serrve coffee maker. The bathroom is modern, very clean, and well-lit. There is a handheld tool that seems to be a clothes steamer or hairdryer. I didnt need to use it. The bed was so comfortable and sits on a pedestal. I was able to sit on it, but if I was any shorter, I may have a problem reaching it easily. Three pillows were readily available, but another was delivered upon request. There is even a note offering toothbrush, etc for free, should you have forgotten yours. I am really impressed and would stay at this hotel again and again. So far really disappointed. I came to.this one because of one review that says it is old.but once inside has a special charm to it. Well she must not have been African American. We slept okay but that is the issue with most people when they sleep in a bed not their own. Went down to breakfast and she acted as if we were totally invisible. There was 2 gentleman that she was talking to and another couple joined into the conversation. A father and his son walked in and she went joyously to them and said good morning, asked why they were up.so early with it being Spring Break, and so forth. She checked out the couple and greeted the next lady that walked in. I still watched and attempted to give her the benefit of the doubt. Well she started cleaning and said goodbye to the 2 gentleman who were checking out soon, asked the lady how she sleep and reached past me to get the milk pitcher.....all without saying anything!! Now I have 2 more days here because I can't get my money back but I am hoping that tomorrow morning...

I am on the road about 260 days a year and I travel the whole Country. Throughout my travels there are several places that I stay a regularly. I am a Diamond member of Wyndham and the same level with another Chain. This property is now one of my regular spots. The owners are a young couple who just recently bought the property. They are completely renovating the property. What they have done is wonderful. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The owners are wonderful caring people. An example of this caring was when I checked in and was on my way to my room, they both escorted me to my room and the husband carried my bag. I have never had this level of service without asking before. We all have choices when we travel as to where we will stay along the way. Do yourself a favor and choose this Super 8 in Clinton, Oklahoma when you come through here as you get your kicks on Route 66. You won't be...
