I've had two great experiences at the Coal City Athletico. I highly recommend them, the therapists are skillful and the entire staff is friendly and professional.

I first went there in fall of 2017 for rehab after surgery to repair a ruptured bicep tendon. I'm a competitive water skier and didn't know if I'd ever be able to complete at the same level again. OT / manager Kate Robinson did an unbelievable job getting my arm back to the required flexibility and strength to ski better than ever. I went on to win my first national championship the following year.

I'm just finishing my latest rehab after spending over eight weeks in a cast due to an ankle fracture. My first call was to Kate. DPTs Erin Lane and Bethany Stavrakas took the time to understand my goals and designed a program specifically for me. The Athletico physical therapy office in coal city is a top notch facility! I was treated for a work comp injury and had the pleasure of Kate, the facility manager being my therapist. Kate was very very patient and personable with me and anyone else who came through the doors! There were times when Kate would move her schedule around to compensate mine, not something many therapist do. But that is only a couple of examples to describe the facility. Tiana is also an amazing part of my visits there. Tiana is another personable employee, she was always there if I needed a new schedule printed. By the end of my therapy all the girls there knew me by name and became very familiar with my routine. I wouldn’t suggest any other place for a physical or occupational therapy appointment. We can’t say enough about this group. My husband had an accident in May and had a Traumatic Brain Injury. Trying to find a physical therapist I thought was going to be a challenge. Athletico had an immediate opening to evaluate and treat him. Bethany, his PT, was amazing, comforting, supportive, and our Angel in disguise. She specializes in TBI and is a Vestibular Therapist also, which he needed. She helped him so much. Then amongst all the PT, he had to have an elbow procedure done on his ulnar nerve. He then started doing OT with Kate!! She was just as amazing. She got him back quick enough to be able to start the harvest season. Everyone worked together to help not only my husband, but helped me also to show me how to help him at home. Would I recommend this group? Absolutely!!
