Was assigned a work project in Coalville. For lunch I looked up nearby restaurants. Neena's Market was so highly reviewed, how could I pass on the opportunity to try "The Absolute Best Al Pastor" according to one reviewer. Or "The Absolute Best Rojo Menudo" 😂 Geekishly raved by another well traveled and cultured reviewer. Tanta dinamita, para muy poca mecha. Is a saying where I'm from. If your Al Pastor is not being sliced from a meat "Trompo" spinning around an open flame, then you're getting Adobada. It's like mistaking Bar-B-Q with grilling, absolutely not the same. We must have gone through a portal into a parallel universe. Because the food made me sick. My work partner ordered a luke warm pozole, that tasted straight from a can. I ordered a Al Pastor quesadilla and a carnitas one. The lady tore off a strip of paper with our food description on it, handed it to us and instructed us to pay up front. I don't recall what the pozole cost my partner but each of my quesadillas was $15 plus tax. Menu prices are taped in a corner on the smallest piece of note book paper, that it you'd easily overlook. Almost seems on purpose. Finally when our orders are called, I'm expecting the hype I kept reading from all the 5 star reviews. Tortillas hechas a mano, con su queso cincha y su carnita al pastor 😍 Nope! Just some dry, flour tortillas. Kids menu after thought! Tldr: very disappointing

This is a nice little stop on the way through Coalville. The restaurant is in the back of the market. Keep in mind, this isn't just a restaurant, so we had to wait a few minutes for someone to be available to take our order. The food was good. The burrito was "yuge". I wouldn't drive 90 minutes to just eat here, but it's most definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.

They are friendly. A lot different option of food. Like most of the Mexican or Latino places the owner will talk to you in Spanish or English ....but the second generation even though you communicate in Spanish they answered you in english. It just a complete out of focus what the store is for. Update 01/2025 second Generation is already talking in Spanish. Good for them 5 star!!!! Excelente 5 estrellas!!!!

My husband and I stayed in Coalville so we could ski in Park City. This is, by far, the BEST Mexican food I have ever had!!!! They have a few tables in the back. We got ours to go because we were so tired from skiing that we just wanted to go back to the hotel. When we started eating the chicken tacos we ordered, we just looked at each other like, “you have got to be kidding me!” We plan in going again before we head back home from this ski trip. Amazing food!!! I plan on buying the mango salsa and guacamole before...

I love Neena's they have the best Mexican groceries and spices and they are so nice! I love ❤ their BIG mangos, I get some every fall to can, so I can have them whenever I want! She has them almost year round. Neena & her husband taught me how to make enchilada sauce without the hot spices from fresh peppers they sell, wow was it better than any can or package! I love stopping in to just say hi and see what new things she has in store! Besides, they are such a nice family business and the sweetest people you could...
