Down Home Discount is a great local budget grocery store providing a great service to our community. The store is clean and the employees do a great job. Down Home Discount really goes the extra mile for their customers. If they have a product in stock they make it available. Sometimes that looks like the same product offered in more than one location within the store. Typically good products that move quickly like chips, salsas or other items. On one visit they had a great deal on eggs 🥚 with no limit posted. That was refreshing. You can find some really nice cheese 🧀 there too. You may not find your favorite item every time you visit…just come again soon and it will probably be there. I have experienced this at the “big box wholesale warehouse” two hours north of town (if you know what I mean) as well. But that other place never restocks that item you missed out on…but I digress~ There are several “hyper-local” products available from local farmers/ranchers as well. Some of those products (just a couple) are cash-only otherwise debit & credit cards 💳 are welcome. I believe EBT is welcome as well. I like the pleasant adventure that awaits us when we shop. We are never disappointed and if you really need an item and you don’t find it, there are other options in town. But come back to Down Home Discount next time👍🏻. This place is great. Their inventory is always changing. If you're looking for cheap candy this is definitely the place to go! Their candy stock is never low. Every once in awhile I find what I need but I never count on it because they're inventory does change on a daily. My kids absolutely love going here because they can pick out whatever they want and I love that it doesn't hurt the wallet. Employees are friendly. Store is organized okay. Great store with a lot of items. This store has almost expired and expired food. I have no issue with expiration dates. Like all stores like this it is best to try one product and if you like it come back for more. My daughter with celiacs finds tons of gluten free junk food that I typically won't buy.
