Leaving for vacation tomorrow so thought i would mow the lawn tonight before i leave. So i started the mower and went to leave the barn and the mower breaks. Ended up being just a spring that broke. So i look at the clock and i had about 20 minutes before genes closed. I rush over there and get there just a few minutes before closing. I told them im unsure where the spring came from and that i had no time to look into it i just grabbed the spring and took it with me. So they find where the spring went to, and printed me out the diagram for it. And so i go to pay for the spring and realised i forgot my wallet in the rush to get there. They told me just keep the spring and if i happen to swing back by to pay them. Not a big deal to them but its the little things like that that made me buy a mower from them in the first place! Read moreTook our club cadet snowblower up because it wouldn't start and that it was under warranty . We got a call that it was done. We went to pick it up and they charged us $50.00. They said it was some gas left carburetor, but we did put stabilizer in the tank, we never got a call that we were being charged for it. Then they stated " if you had bought it from us, then service would of been free", and why didn't you buy from us, instead of buying from Home Depot", our reply was, because it was almost $300.00 cheeper then yours, for the same thing. They also stated "you should of taken it back to Home Depot, they probably wouldn't of charged you for it". Gene's sells and is a club cadet dealer, it shouldn't of matter. I never felt pressured, the staff has great knowledge of the products they sell and spent time learning my needs and steering me to the best fit. They even stayed open late/waited for me to arrive to pick up my new zero turn. The salesman and others, stayed late and thoroughly showed how to use the new mower.
