Meijer — Local services in Colfax Township

On the employees: For the most part they have always been helpful. Carlee (I think is how her name is spelled) in particular has always been extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

On the products: I check prices vs Walmart and compare. Most of what I'm finding is either cheaper or within 10 cents difference. I love the variety. I shop dairy free for my son and there is a much wider selection than Walmart. Produce is usually good.

Cons: unless I'm doing a big shopping trip, the coupons that aren't for specific products don't get used. Not advertising discounts. I have one of the Pandemic EBT cards for my kid. Curbside pick up is a circus. They're understaffed. Half of them say it's not there job to even be doing it and say they're just helping but haven't been properly trained. That's not much help if you ask me. They desperately need help with people who'll actually work and be a team. I looked to see if they're at least hiring and they're not. When they clearly need to. I see one girl all the time when i come there that's always running out orders doing everything while the others sit and watch. It's completely unacceptable. Management must not care to make sure it's a team effort. that is shocking to me and blows my mind that management wont help with taking out orders. All other aspects of the store are to par and no complaints but sadly due to the pets department I have to give this establishment one of the lowest ratings I shop here every week multiple times a week and am an avid fish keeper/breeder and to see 5 dead fish on the shelf 2 days in a row is unacceptable if ur going to stock live animals on your selfs please take care of them my wife moved them to the drain sink so littke kids didnt see them and one out of evertime I'm there the whole fish department is down to being sick can't believe they just let them dai and sit there tho just proof they are not even checked on once put out for sale should have fresh water every day in that...
