Had a really disappointing experience with 12th Month Technologies (Apple service center). I went in with my iPhone 14 Pro that had a boot loop issue, and instead of diagnosing it properly, they told me the phone couldnât be fixed unless I replaced the entire back unit for over $700. When I refused, they returned the phone in worse shape, the battery was bulging, which wasnât the case when I dropped it off.
They also gave me a loaner phone, which already had a torn tempered glass when I received it, but when I returned it they charged me $20 for âdamage.â Feels like they try to squeeze every dollar they can.
Later, after contacting Apple directly, I found out the real issue was just the battery. I ordered a genuine Apple battery through Appleâs Self Service Repair, replaced it myself for a fraction of the cost, and now my phone works perfectly.
The only positive part of the visit was the front desk lady, she was polite and helpful, so credit to her. But overall, the service center itself was unhelpful, overpriced, and careless with my device.
