Incredible store. Such a gem in State College. They carry an amazing diversity of vintage, all displayed in a way that makes sense, is fun to look through, and isn't overwhelming. Everything is clearly marked with a price which eliminates the guesswork I've had at other stores. The inventory changes DAILY. Literally, every single day. So it's worth it to stop in as often as you can. I was was cautioned by friends to consign with Arcadian, but I took a leap of faith anyway. When I was reviewing the contract with the person working that day, I explained that I worked full time and on some Saturdays; picking up my items would be a challenge. The woman gave me the impression they could be flexible so I agreed. I followed up about 3 months later. I was matter-of-factly told they had sent me a copy of my contract about two weeks earlier (they did not send a copy either by mail or email) and that I was 2 days past my contracted pick up date, therefore my remaining items were “discarded”. This is a truly amazing and unique place! Jessica has an eye for finding really cool and interesting things that you don’t come across everyday. The inventory is always changing so you never know what kind of treasures you might find. Also, it’s well selected and quality stuff, I didn’t see any junk at all when I was in there last week.
