I used to have decent experience with this spa/clinic but their services/management has gotten A LOT WORSE during the past year. They acted like they were detailed and so thoughtful while always assuring of my request of scheduling with certain technicians that I liked, but it never actually happened in real life. I had treatments with different technicians every time no matter who I requested. Moreover, they have policy that they have the right to refuse appointment if you are late for more than 15 minutes of the appointment time. However, even when I was on time one day I needed to wait in the lobby for more than an hour for my turn (appointment at 7pm, but wasn't taken in until ~8:10pm). Secondly, they canceled my appointment due to their power outage but neither rescheduled another one for later, nor had me listed anywhere in their tracking system, despite the fact that I was still in a paid-treatment-plan. They just realized it 2 months later when I suddenly remembered it and pro-actively called them to ask. If I had never called them back, they could have just took the money but forgetting about delivering their obligations. This was a clear flag of their being-unprofessional. While trying to reschedule the appointment with the receptionist and the shift manager, I mentioned that I didn't receive a confirmation text message for the date, BOTH of them repeatedly guaranteed that they had my appointment put down on their calendar. Yet, I came in that date to find out that I never had an appointment. Moreover they had no way to find out who scheduled it for me. Last but not least, they seems to have a serious management issue as I was provided with different information every time I talked to people in that clinic office. I had been really tolerant it until last month when I NEARLY CRIED during an argument with them. They told me that they provided me more sessions than I had paid for, even though I had been informed to have 3 times left in the treatment plan when I left the previous session. They were not able to provide any official documents or proper receipts when I asked for a proof of their claims. The lady was writing stuffs on sticky notes while saying it was late for them to go home and trying to kick me out the the clinic. When I asked to come in another day to reconcile it, she refused saying they were too busy for that. So far it has been the worst experience out of all other frustrations I have had with this spa. This is definitely not a right way to do a business. I have been with this spa for 3 years but I am neither seeing myself using their services any longer, nor would ever recommend...
Read moreWith a few tweaks of the whole process, I think my experience could’ve gone from just okay to amazing. The potential is definitely there! And for what it’s worth, I will continue to go back there for the rest of my package and potentially more. I just wish they could improve on some communication/professionalism things. When I first called and booked my appointment, I was told I would pay 75% down, and then the rest later on. I arrive at my consultation and they expected me to pay 100%. I had also told the person on the phone that I could go in for my consultation, but didn’t want to start any treatment until the first week of October (a few weeks away). Well I’m escorted back into the room for what I thought was going to be my consultation, but the tech tells me to undress and that’s when I learned I was getting my first treatment then and there. Thank goodness I had shaved! I went along with it, but there was definitely a miscommunication amongst the staff. Also, I had communicated with them that I wanted the extended Brazilian - absolutely everything gone! That’s what I paid for. But during my first appt they skipped over my entire labia. They had also switched techs halfway through my appt., so I wonder if they hadn’t communicated to the 2nd tech that I was doing the full Brazilian. It felt disorganized too, as the first tech got called away halfway into my session. It did not feel professional and I would so much rather have just had 1 tech the whole time. I had my 2nd appt today and they finally did my labia - but now that section will be a whole session behind the rest of my progress. Also today at my 2nd appt, I was pressured by 2 different techs to purchase another package of 6 sessions…but I still have 4 sessions left! It seemed like a cheap and desperate attempt for money - who would want to pay for 6 more sessions before they’re even done with the 6 they they just paid for. All this being said, the quality of the laser that they use is one of the best, so I do think that my results will be good for the most part. It’s apparently the same laser that they use at Ideal Image but WAY less expensive. Just wish they could improve on the rest of...
Read moreWhen I first came here my laser esthetician was Kelly, one of the kindest and most thorough estis I've met in the skin industry. I even introduced my best friend to laser thanks to Kelly's professionalism, skincare knowledge, and enthusiasm. We both were doing 12 sessions for underarms and bikini. We were sad (yet happy for her) to hear she'd moved on to a different office, and ever since my and my best friend's experience had gone down hill. We would get different estis doing our laser appointments every session and only very few would bother being thorough with the laser passes around the bikini. Nothing wrong with the estheticians themselves, who were all nice, but the work was just inconsistent, and it felt like they weren't comfortable working on the bikini area we paid to get done. It was also an uncomfortable experience whenever I'd get to the front desk and there would be an unnecessary amount of people crowded in the small office. Upon check-in I'd be stared at, not greeted, like an unwanted visitor. Upon check-out, I'd be hounded by associates to pay for more sessions or upgrade my package in some way. This was also a shared experience with my best friend, as we go to our appointments separately, except she tells me her experiences with checking out are more harrowing, with several front desk associates all at once huddling on the opposite side of the checkout "harassing" her to upgrade, continuously trying to upsell her when she'd already declined several times. According to her, this has happened on several occasions. She is a very soft spoken person, so this leads me to believe that they might try to push sales on her. Her treatment and the lack of hospitality she's experienced upset me greatly, and I'm very ashamed that I introduced her to Glo Med Spa. Never mind that they almost never have appointments available when I call several weeks in advance, but that lack of professionalism is an absolute deal breaker. Lastly, I never noticed until my very last session, but this whole time they had my first name spelled incorrectly in their system. Needless to say, I cannot comfortably recommend this...
