I very much love the view from here and hiking the trail is enjoyable! If you hike the trail be alert for mountain bike riders and go to the side and let them pass. It's a very straightforward hike and I can't imagine how you could get lost. Keep your valuables at home or at least don't leave anything in your car in plain site. Try to stay on the path as much as possible. Many people get off the trail and cause havok to the vegetation. Respect this place please and don't litter. If you do see trash please help and pack some of it out. We would really like to keep this place beautiful! Read moreThis is such an amazing place! It's like being in the middle of a forrest but in the city! You can park at the bottom and hike/bike up or if you're short for time then you can drive up. There are quite a bit of pullouts to park on the way up but I drove all the way to the top. The parking lot at the top is pretty small, maybe 5 cars, but I was there on a weekday. Not sure how busy it gets on weekends. The view from the top is incredible! Great view of Pikes Peak and of Colorado Springs!
