Great Clips — Local services in Colorado Springs

I have been going here for about a year. I'm a Marine recently discharged about two years ago. Somethings stick with you after you get out... one of those things is the haircut. Not as high and tight as it was while I was in but I still love that med reg fade. Since leaving Southern California and moving back to Colorado I've been looking for someone who can do a good fade(hard to find). I happened to stumble into this location in a bind and ran into Nicole. For about a year of searching, I finally found the one. My military guys will understand. I'm hesitant to write this because I don't wanna let the good word out to the masses but Nicole is my girl for when I need a Haircut. The staff here is also very welcoming and overall recommended. Today, this happened at Great Clips. I wrote a letter to the company.

I was a customer at Rockrimmon Shopping Center, 815 Village Center Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80919. I was waiting for a haircut today when a man in front of me was seated in a chair. He was openly carrying a pistol on his belt. I am a proponent of gun control and I am opposed to carrying weapons. I told the woman at the register to cancel my appointment. She asked if I'd like to re-schedule and I told her that I wasn't coming back because there was a man carrying a gun. She said that he was licensed to carry it and that it was okay. I told her it wasn't okay with me. As a company, my business doesn't matter to you. But there are a lot of people who feel like I do. I will not spend my money at Great Clips ever again until you implement a policy of no weapons in your stores. I sincerely hope you will...

I chose to go to this location due to the good ratings. I don't know the stylists name, but the woman with the dark hair, glasses, and heavy accent cut my hair. Before she started we talked about how my hair shows choppy layers (it's blonde, so layers need to be soft and blend in), she assured me she could make sure they weren't choppy. She also showed me that she was going to cut about an inch of length off due to my hair being dry, which I was okay with. When the haircut was done, I had about 2-3 inches of length off, layers that were extremely short (the shortest are close to my jawbone when dry) and extremely uneven and choppy. This is nothing close to what she said she would do, or what I asked for. I will not be coming back to this location, and ended up going somewhere else to get my hair fixed because it looked like a child came at me...
