It took me ages to find the website that allowed me to give MPLS Make 5 gold stars but here I am! It's my honor and pleasure to award Theo and "Your Very Own Workshop" as many gold stars as google allows. If you ask me, this place deserves 100 gold stars out of 5. The owner Theo, is your golden ticket to this 5-gold-star-rated wood shop. Whether you craft beautiful wooden cathedrals in your sleep, or have never held a screwdriver before, MPLS Make is the place for you. The great variety of tools are maintained and kept sharp for easy and accurate cuts. One of my favorite parts about this place is the friendly atmosphere. If there's something that you don't know how to do, Theo or any of the other lovely members would be delighted to lend a helping hand. I could write for days about the wonders of MPLS Make, but I'll refrain and leave anyone whose reading this with one piece of advice: if you thought for even a second how sweet it would be to get back into the art of woodwork, give Theo a call. He'll take you on a tour and show you all that he has to offer, which I can guarantee that it's everything you need and more. 5/5 gold stars. Keep up...

I found MPLS MAKE while looking for a bandsaw and boy did I hit the jackpot. I went from churning out very time consuming pieces on bs ryobi tools to state of the art equipment and an awesome group of people who know WAY more than I do and are very happy to help you out with whatever it is. another huge plus for me was dust collection. i get very paranoid about my lungs because i depend on them for my livelihood. No need to worry there! Once again state of the art filtration systems. I really can't think of a better place to be, I look forward to coming in whenever I can and feel like in a matter of weeks my woodworking skills themselves have improved dramatically which is all due to the community. If you are brand brand new to woodworking (which much like gyms can be slightly intimidating) or a 40+ year veteran this is the place to be; I guarantee you will be welcome with open arms. I was a member here for over 2 years, MPLS Make is the best creative environment you could ask for. Through the years it felt like a family as well as my full time job but seeing all the members create and pursue their interests is motivating so the days went by fast and the knowledge pool is infinite.

Here is why you should support this shop. The people are all interesting, helpful and supportive. The variety of tools and machines make anything possible, if you want to save time and up your product time this is a great choice. It might seem a little steep but its not just a hobby, Knowledge, experience and comfort are a resource in itself.
