Community Grounds — Restaurant in Columbia Heights

Have been here a couple times hoping to support a local place. Don't really get it, atmosphere is lacking, seating isn't comfortable and tables mashed next to one another means no privacy.

Cappuccino tastes bad, is no bigger than a shot, with hardly any foam - when I asked howcome, the owner was patronising and told me maybe I don't know what a cappuccino is, and that I'm looking for a latte instead because this is a certainly a cappuccino and they are meant to be very small. It was just very defensive and weird, as if a customer isn't capable of living/travelling all over, working in restaurants, and just actually being a human being who drinks cappuccinos pretty regularly.

This is a great coffee shop. They always give you the extra shot of espresso in your lattes (the best) and they have a nice loyalty program for every 10 coffees you buy. They are also really involved in the community which is cool and they have things for families to join in on regularly. Me and my dog walk up here every Saturday morning for the banana bread...

These folks are too busy to attend to customers. The place was like a daycare inside. Too bad because i was looking forward to a quaint coffee shop to sit and handle a little business. 3rd visit and i dont know what's going on here. Its 2 blocks away.
