We ordered popcorn only to find out that they were completely out of any soda or any drinks at all. However they were willing to sell a cup of water for the same price as a soda! Or give you a very small cup so you could get water out of the sink. Third option you could buy a bottle of water for $7. None of these options are acceptable. Honestly had there been a note posted outside I would have never gone inside. I had prepaid for tickets and the cashier even ask me if I had tickets. I said Yes I have tickets so he proceeded to charge me for more tickets. Not sure what he was confused about. But clearly I did not pay for a second set of tickets. I had already ordered popcorn without being informed there was nothing to drink but warm water. I asked for popcorn salt and he proceeded to direct me to Little packets of regular salt. Not popcorn salt, packets of regular salt. They were out of napkins so they had a roll of paper towels set out. This is the first time that I have been back to a theater since COVID. Picking this theater over Forum 8 was just an eeny meeny miny moe. Clearly my miny Moe did not work for me and I made the wrong choice. I must say that my 18-year-old daughter did not want to go to this theater and said she preferred forum 8 theater had I not already prepaid for the tickets I would have gone to forum 8 instead. She went with me but was just as unhappy as me because warm tap water and popcorn is not the movie experience we paid for. I found it to be incredibly sneaky to wait until after someone ordered popcorn knowing full well that there was nothing to drink. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Not sure how hard it is to get CO2 for your soda but it clearly that was the reason that we were given they were out of CO2 I'm just repeating what...
Read moreWent to see the re- release of Avatar last Friday to the 4:30 showing in 3D the first one available. I was so hype, see when this movie came out back in the day I went to see it in 3D five times in the theaters. Since my Mom, nephew and daughter had never had the 3D experience I talked about it and how at one point I found myself waving my hand in the air to disperse the ash flakes that I was seeing in the film the 3D was that great for me. So I talked this movie up so much that we all decided to go together. This was a big moment for put family because my nephew and daughter hadn't ever been to the movies together and now they will get that chance and with one of the best movies I have ever seen in 3D this was going to be great, till it wasn't.
The first 15 minutes of the movie was not played in 3D and then when it did kick in it was so super imposed that very few things were in focus and made the film hard to see. The background was blurry for 80% of the film so the view quality was extremely poor. It was like there was 4 versions of the same movie playing all at once. And when the "Hallelujah mountains" was shown the 3D was so super imposed on it self you could barely see any details. The quality was so bad that 2 members of our party took off their 3D glasses and said it was better view without them. My Mom said that watching at home was better then at the theater in the end. I will say that in December when the second Avatar movie comes out I will not be going back to this movie theater to see it. Regal will not ruin this movie again for me. So...
Read moreWe had a pretty unfortunate experience here sadly. Visiting from out of state to see family and we came to this theater to see Wicked in RPX and… the Surround Sound wasn’t working. That’s kinda the whole reason we paid extra for the tickets so we could see this MUSICAL with really good sound and it was extremely quiet the whole way through, very disappointing because we’ve waited a long time for this movie to come out. I informed the staff about the sound issues and one of them just kinda shrugged and said, “Yeah we’ve been having problems with that.” Okay, then my question is why are you still selling and charging extra for RPX tickets if you know there’s a sound quality issue with that auditorium? As far as the theater itself goes, a lot of everything else there just seemed kinda dated. The seats were not like the ones you would have in more modern or renovated venues that are more spacious and can recline and all that, they were more of the classic movie theater seats which is fine, they were just uncomfortable and a little behind the times from what I’ve become used to. The bathrooms weren’t the cleanest either unfortunately. A few odd smells wafted throughout the building like mildew and what not. Two stars instead of one because the staff was nice enough and calm in demeanor. So yeah unfortunately I did not have a great experience but I could’ve looked past the other things if the sound quality in the auditorium was at least up to standard. I just really wanted to hear a nice full sound for the great score...
