Champs Chicken — Restaurant in Columbia Township

I noticed Champs Chicken replaced ZAXBY'S of Columbia at Cinnamon Hill. I have had Champs at various locations, convenience stores and mainly grocery markets around central Missouri. The standalone Champs Chicken was shocking at first but once I took the drive thru, I could see the establishment being a huge success. A streamlined, easy-to- read menu with straightforward options means: opportunity to achieve high volume while metering labor easily, another development of success employee habits to maintain the bar of expectation higher while still being reasonable, and delight for fresh, delicious food you can always count on when you visit the Cinnamon Hill location! I ordered a chicken sandwich combo with an ice-loaded unsweet tea, fries and requested the chicken be spicy though I don't recall the option in the menu. Nevaeh, working in drive, looked clean and professional while she handled my order with bright energy. She apologized about the wait. Im assuming they blew a drivetime to get me my food fresh. It was 👍 appreciated. Such an easy, fast, and fresh experience I can easily be loyal to. Please treat each other And your New restaurant with mindfulness and care to sustain good team morale and a healthy environment that keeps employees and customers coming back. If I could rate this zero stars I would. We went around 6:30pm through the drive thru. We were greeted with “welcome to McDonald’s, opes sorry that’s my first job” which should have been our first sign to turn around. The person taking orders was not clear at all and I had to ask several times to repeat herself. We then got our food, thankfully we checked the boxes before we left. Absolutely no fries. We went in to try and get fries and they said they’d have to drop some and we’d have to wait. No one told us fries were gone. Wouldn’t give us our money back or give us a different side our option was to wait. The lemonade was also just flavored water. Prices are high considering you could go to canes and get twice as much food and way better service. If zaxbys couldn’t last here there is no way this place will last. Don’t...

I have never been here before. This place is amazing. The food was delicious. Their fries are great, and their chicken is well seasoned and perfectly cooked. I loved their sassy sauce. Next time I’m in town I will most certainly be back. The staff was very good. Nicola at the register was great. She helped through the menu and was very accommodating. The manager was quick to check on us and held a meaningful conversation. We also tried the brownie and it was good.

While we were eating Nicola was back to work. She vacuumed, and then wiped down tables. Not just the tops of the tables, but also the baseplate and the posts. It’s refreshing to see people who care about their work.

This place has great food. Great employees, and a very clean environment.
