Okay so I’m not going to say if I recommend them or not, I’ll let you decide.. I go to look at cars because I was referred to this company and I found a car I really loved so I put $100 down the first day to put it on “lay away” and I told them what I hoped to put down was $3500 and they gave me a quick estimate of what the total would be IF I put that much down.. but I also explained I was unsure the total amount I would put down because I just had an emergency a few days before. I come back the next day and I came in with $3,255 for my down payment. They still put I gave them $3500 down for my down payment? Why would they do that? I understand they wanted me to bring the rest in but that’s what I gave them so that’s what they should’ve put down. I purchased the car through a lender, and they were supposed to send over my pay stubs and my information to my lender which I sent to the guy over texts and he told me what I sent was good enough.. so come a few weeks later now it’s not good enough? Now I don’t make enough to qualify for this car I’ve had for 21 days and already got approved for it?? So we speak with his boss now. It’s a huge confusion that finally resolved in them just waving my pay stubs all together when I was more then willing to prove once again I just wanted to see my contract from their end which they wouldn’t email me.. the whole situation was so fishy and unprofessional I couldn’t believe all this happened over a car. My back window motor was out when I got the car but I didn’t know until all this legal process happened with the loan so I waited for it to be figured out before I took it up there. I took it up to the maintenance before my 30 days was up for my window motor and my radio. I waiting 3 hours for a diagnosis and he still never told me what was wrong with my radio. So he wanted me to come back to get the work done so I asked if it was covered by my warranty and he told me several times yes it is yes it is yes it is. So I make another appointment and come they give me a rental and a couple days later he calls and says none of the work is covered so it’ll be $500 but he’s not sure if the problem is really the problem he’s just guessing. He said “I think” more times then I am comfortable with so I didn’t let them fix my car instead when I get there they just now inform me that I owe more on my down payment.. but mind you I’ve had the car for a month and a half and the bank already paid them for the car. So I paid it and left. I’m not bashing anything just sharing my experience for you to decide if this is an appropriate...
Read moreWent there with specific criteria of a vehicle I was looking for, but didn't know exactly what I wanted and wanted to see what was out there. Spoke with someone (who apparently wasn't a salesman because when we walked in he said "Let me find you a salesman," but ended up helping us anyway, so not sure exactly who he was and what position he was in) specifically about what I needed. He looked in the system and said great news, I've narrowed it down to 3 and said one was a suburban, but needed to check on the other 2. We told him we aren't interested in a suburban. He said he had to check on the other 2 and disappeared. Came back and said all excitedly he had great news, he has one that has everything we wanted and was in the price range we gave, showed it to us online on their website and it was perfect. Great. We were excited to check it and ready to buy it. Then he said all we need to do is wait til Monday and come back. Today was Friday. He said the vehicle had just come in with a light on and it needed to be looked over first, but no big deal, he knew the people who traded it in, they took great care of it, they have one of the best rated service departments in the country, a light is no big deal. They'll get it taken care of and we can come back Monday and check it out and buy it. We asked if we could even see it and he said no. That was that. We could look at pictures of it on their website, but that was about it. I tried to ask him more about the "light" and how long they've had it and what's wrong with it and anytime I would ask a targeted question the guy would tap dance around it and just give me selling features and try to deflect. I could tell he was totally lying about something and I bet the thing was sitting in pieces in the service department. I wasn't interested in looking at or talking to anyone else after that so we left. Since that specific vehicle was something we were really interested in now, we looked on Facebook marketplace to see if there were any others like it and what did we find, that exact vehicle from that exact dealer posted for sale 8 days prior. So it hadn't just come in and I bet there was more wrong with it than just a light. Glad I dodged that bullet, but now I feel bad for whoever ends up buying that thing afterwards. Ended up finding almost the exact same vehicle at another dealership in Ballwin, MO and went straight there and drove the vehicle home. First time coming to Brockland and am definitely not going...
Read moreI was searching for a new Hummer EV SUV on Autotrader and stumbled upon this small dealership outside of STL, about a nine hour drive from me.
My original point of contact with the dealership was 02/21/2025. After a couple days of going back and forth, we had agreed on numbers for the vehicle. Then, the dealer alerted me that there was an issue calculating my taxes. They reached out to my local DMV to get clarity on what the rules were. A couple more days go by with no update. I finally get back in touch with the dealer and they tell me I need to have the people at my tag office call them. I did so immediately. Issue was apparently resolved, finally, on 02/28/2025 - after a whole week. By this point, I was worried that the beginning of a new month would change the incentives and price that we just spent a WHOLE WEEK trying to figure out. They assured me there would be no issue. We agreed my husband and I would come up on Saturday, 03/08/2025 to bind the contract and take physical delivery.
On Monday, 03/03/2025, they instructed us to fill out the forms and let us know they would be out of office until Thursday, 03/06/2025. We filled out the forms. On Thursday, they finally contacted my husband to ask for a picture of his driver’s license and ask if he could do a video call for fraud protection purposes. During their call, the dealership doubled down on their fraud protection practice, to the point I was almost under the impression they thought we were trying to scam them or commit a crime. The rest of the day, we heard nothing from them.
Finally, around 1:00pm this afternoon, 03/07/2025, as my husband and I were about to book hotel accommodations for our trip that has been TWO WEEKS in the making, they called me to tell me that the price had increased by $4500 because the new month had, in fact, changed the incentives.
I’m not sure why it took them seven days into the new month to alert me that things were changing. I’m also not sure why they wouldn’t allow us to lock in the pricing on a leftover 2024 demo unit that they originally seemed desperate to sell. I feel like we practically had to beg these people to sell us a $100k vehicle, only for them to pull the rug out from under us at the last minute, TWO WEEKS after our initial contact.
I gave them two stars, one because they tried to be nice about it, and the second because at least they did the rug pull BEFORE we drove nine hours to get there. The rest is just...
