2024 Chevy Traverse RS
*Update: I was very happy with my purchase at first, but now I am just downright aggravated and frustrated! I wrote a good review on here at first (Too many characters so I couldn’t keep all of my reviews up here). Then when I had my 1st issue with the title transfer for registration 2 months in (that took FOREVER with unnecessarily!), I updated my review to a negative review. I then received a phone call from the manager, Larry Lebeda, asking me what my issue was and how he can resolve it. After explaining it, he offered me a $50 gift card to change my review. I received that one, but forgot to change my review and I am glad I did! I just knew that wasn’t going to be my 1st issue! He also offered me another $50 gift card to send my pic as a soldier for Veteran of the month. I never received that one.
Fast forward to October and I had a nail in my tire, which I understand that happens so no big deal. I had a tire and wheel warranty. They said it couldn’t be repaired so they had to replace it. Fine. Everything went well. It took longer than expected but no big deal. Things happen like that. That I can expect. What came next I could never expect! Got my vehicle back and had to run some errands where I didn’t shut the car off for 2 hours. Then all of a sudden when I did all of the computer stuff started glitching. It just went haywire and shut down on me. Never had that happen before! I was so disappointed and mad because I love this vehicle! AND I JUST bought it!!
Anyway, we were stuck in a parking lot at night and thank goodness the dealership was still open so I called them to explain the situation. I had to have the vehicle (THAT I JUST PURCHASED IN MAY!!) towed to the dealership to be fixed! I also told them I had been having issues with the back power bench seats. I just hadn’t had the chance to bring the vehicle in for it yet. They were sticking. They never fixed those and they took way too long to fix the computer issue too! I didn’t notice the seat thing right away till it was too late and I had to leave from IL and go back to FL where I live.
Fast forward to now, I still have yet to be able to get these seats fixed because now I can’t even figure out where I can take my vehicle in FL! Waiting on hold forever with the warranty people and with Weber Columbia! 😤Now I have to wait till I come back home for Xmas and on my Xmas vacation HOPEFULLY get it fixed. I have the single seat stuck in the down position and the other seat has the headrest that won’t go up or down. On a brand new vehicle!!!! The dealership has not offered anything in return for all of this wasted time at all! This vehicle is NOT cheap either! What a damn headache this has all been! This is one of those places you wish you could give zero stars. I am seriously disappointed in the Columbia, Illinois Chevy service department. To start, I called and set an appointment with a woman. I know she made an appointment because she asked for my name as well as my number. When I arrived at the dealership about an hour later (I had my car towed there as it didn't feel safe to drive), YTim (the service advisor) tells me I don't have an appointment and doesn't offer to set one up. I guess they don't need the work??? Tim explains that is perfectly normal for my transmission type to roll down a hill, which is true with CRT transmission, but that does not explain why my brakes or acceleration would just not work in that instance. I seriously believe Tim doesn't believe I know how to drive and had to think I was just letting my car go down hill without any control. Tim says they will look at it Tuesday May 15. I get a call on Monday May 14th saying my car is totally fine and they found nothing wrong with. They said they test drove it and it didn't act up again. Well my receipt says the mileage on my car when I brought it and when it left the shop was exactly the same, so how much of a test drive was actually completed ? They cut my diagnostic fee in half. All this could be swept under the rug if my check engine light hadn't come on in less than 3 days from when I picked it up. I call Tim back to let him know they hadn't looked at the car completely but he was too busy defending himself for it to matter anymore. I took my car to an AutoZone where they told me FOR FREE what was wrong with my car. It had nothing to do with the transmission in the first place. Even better, it took less than 5 minutes from arriving to the AutoZone to find out what was wrong with it. This whole thing has just blown me away. I'm convinced this dealership let my car sit in a lot for a weekend and charged me 90$ for it. The only thing that could convince otherwise would be visual proof of them spending time on the car. Read moreWent into Weber Granite city to look at trail boss and was helped by Trey Kelly.I told him I wanted ACC (adaptive cruise control).He said he had 2 one white and one slate grey he was driving . We purchased the white one .I was driving on highway trying to activate the ACC but couldn’t get to work .I called Trey he said bring it in a he’d check it out.He test drove it and said yeah it’s not working,you need to make appt with service,so I did.I was at service at 8 am ,sat 4hours.Mechanic asked me to show him what it was doing .He test drove it and said yeah it’s not working.He then took it back to check it out,a hour later the service manager came out and told me that this option is not available on this model.Frustrated I went to Daryl Boyd (manager )He pulled up the specs and said it should be on there ,he’s going to check into it in the morning.He calls in the morning and says it’s not on that model and they will make it right.He said he would have Trey find one and switch them out.This went on for a month.They were terrible ,through the whole process .He kept saying I’ll check with new car manager to find one .During this process the truck was sitting in my driveway ,I didn’t want to rack the miles up on it.Finally I started looking.I found three at Columbia I’ll store.I called Trey and informed him.He said sorry I made a mistake.Then I called Daryl and asked him what was going on.He then asked me to come in.I also looked up msrp of Columbia truck it was 58.800 and options cost was 7500.Trey told me it would be 16000 more to switch these out so I will have ACC on the truck . I told him I would pay 10000 more to cover option cost just to be able to have ACC.He said that’s not how it works So many lies and deceit . I will be spreading this with the world to hopefully help people from making same mistake. Shame on Weber Granite city.All I wanted was the truck I thought I was buying,I was told had ACC on it . The salesman said it was on it. I didn’t care about having any other option s. I traded my Tacoma in on it because it had the options and price. Nice truck but not happy that I don’t have ACC.I’m also taking to different dealership to have serviced.Thank you
