I will never go back here.
In June 18th I purchased a Yamaha XSR900. I had an oil change and safety inspection done on a Vespa while I bought the new motorcycle. The Vespa made it 2 miles down the road before the engine seized. Ecofun helped me bring the bike back. They couldn't dig into the bike for a few weeks because other bikes were a head of mine. They put in a warranty claim. The warranty claim was denied because Vespa needed to know the cause of the engine seize. Ecofun reached out to Vespa's technical rep who wanted photo's and more details. Ecofun said they ordered the replacement parts and they were in transit.
In August the parts were still in transit. In September Ecofun told me the parts were back ordered. I found other shops had the parts in stock. Ecofun told me I could buy the parts myself and they would install them.
After 3 months of not having my Vespa I called Vespa support. Vespa looked up my case and found the warranty was denied and no photos or further details were provided to Vespa's technical rep for warranty work. They found the parts order was denied waiting on further information. Ecofun did not follow up with Vespa throughout this process. Ecofun did not call me with updates I had to call each time to hear that they were waiting on parts.
Vespa support was amazing. They followed up with Ecofun and myself. Vespa ordered an engine. I asked Ecofun if they could install the engine. They said they could handle the engine install but if I wasn't happy with their work they would leave the Vespa and engine outside and I could do it myself.
I worked with Vespa and had another Vespa dealer complete the work. The engine showed up in 1 week at the other dealer. The engine was installed under 2...
Read moreI recently went there to have a front tire swapped out on my Honda Goldwing due to a manufacturing defect. I called the day before and they said they should be able to get it done for me the next day which was great I thought.
A week prior I had both front a rear tires mounted and balanced on my bike by a big dealership that is down the road and the estimate from them was .6 hrs for the front tire and 1.4 for the rear tire. When I picked it up from them it was an exact 2 hours for both tires. I went to Ecofun for the front tire to get swapped over due to the defective tire thinking it would’ve been similar in price to the first dealership. However when it was done they told me it took them 2 hrs on just the front tire alone! They handed me the bill of $300!! I said to the service worker you said they were starting on this in a few minutes and that was at 4:15 pm, the job was done at 5:45 when I was at the counter paying. I said that it has only been an hour and a half so the manager came over and knocked off a half hour. I told both of the that I just had the tires both installed front and back by this big dealership for practically the same price as they were trying to charge me for the front tire! They were also trying to charge me a disposal feel of $25 on top of labor fees for a tire that had 50 miles on and that I told them from the beginning I needed back for the warranty. Needless to say I will not be going back there for any service work...
Read moreI went into the Ecofun Motorsports a few weeks ago (June, 2024) looking for two ATV's for our Grandkids. I wasn't noticed by one of the salesmen until I literally stood at the machines and stared at him (He was busy looking at his cell phone). They had great deals on the machines until the salesman "Al" informed us that the set up fee wasn't included in the marked prices on the tags. When asked why not, he said the state of MN doesn't allow it. Myself and the other customer told him that was not true because all the other dealers price their machines accordingly. He got upset with me and told me he didn't appreciate my comment about being like a used car sales lot. As I was walking out "Al" approached me and said, and I quote "You weren't going to buy anything anyways". I was shocked and felt it was appropriate to tell someone. I spoke to the Parts Manager and explained what "Al" said and he was sincerely apologetic and told me he would have the owner contact me. Take a guess if that ever happened?! It was no surprise considering "Al'' was following the owners direction by misrepresenting the issue of not including the price for the set up. I ended up purchasing two ATV's from a different dealer. I will never go to Ecofun...
