I was a little skeptical that the reviews for this place were fake since literally every one is 5 stars, but after joining the gym I can tell you it's legit!
I really can't say enough about this facility and how great it is. It's truly a blessing to have a facility like this in my area. I could go on for days about how great it is, but here is just a small snippet.
I am a powerlifter so I was looking for a gym with an appropriate amount of squat racks as well as proper equipment and this place does not disappoint!
Here is a sample of some of the equipment they have -2 power racks -Rogue Monster Lite Monkey Rig 2.0 (has 3 places to squat) -2 Proper deadlift platforms -Rogue jerk blocks -Rogue Ohio Power Bar -Rogue Ohio Bar -Rogue 2.0 Bar -Rogue Bella bar (for females) -EliteFTS Multi Grip bar
The owner, Ryan, is incredibly nice and could not be a better person to interact with on a daily basis! This gym is unlike most of the gyms you see because there is no dedicated staff. You simply have a key card that you scan to get in the doors whenever you want...yes...24/7 access!!
Admittedly, starting a membership is not the easiest thing in the world, but it's nice because it keeps the gym from attracting people who don't actually want to go to workout. Simply call Ryan and set up a time to meet him at the gym and he will walk you around to show you the facility and get to know what type of training you enjoy. NOT ONCE did he try to force me to sign up for personal training which is something that can't be said about most gyms...
Read moreIf you're looking for a 24/7 gym to hit your fitness goals without worrying about finding a parking spot, the hassle of waiting in lines, "bro" childishness, creepy stare downs, over priced memberships, or long term contracts, then FitOneFour is the gym for you.
This place is just big enough to have all the essentials (real squat racks, bench presses (flat & incline), weighted pull down machines, row machines, step masters, tread mills, shower, and a LOT more).... And, yet, just small enough to feel like it's your own private gym.
This is a family owned and run operation led by the owner, Ryan Whitmer, MBA.
Ryan keeps this gym very clean and is super friendly and supportive of the members. He even came up to me one day to offer me a free FitOneFour T-shirt and told me that since I had been with the gym for 6 months, that my monthly membership fee actually decreased by 30%.
When I first started, I was paying around $50/mo and I'm now paying around $38/mo and I get sooooo much value for that. It's so worth it.
I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a good gym...
Read moreBeen going for a few months now and overall a good, clean gym but I have a couple gripes: the space is too small when it's peak hours, random nights the temperature is unbearably hot inside (it's not every time but seems to be whenever it's cooler outside the AC doesn't kick on, super muggy), and I wish there were multiples of some of the machines, or had machines that are missing such as hip abductors or more ab machines.
For the price, it's a good gym if you go around midnight or during the morning/afternoon people are at work (though, sometimes even these times are too busy). Otherwise, you'll be on top of other people. I hope this gym gets either a second location nearby or moves into a much larger building in the near future with the amount of people paying for memberships. Both the members and the owner/trainers deserve better after all these years in operation.
Folks who go to the gym are also usually nice/respectful but like any other gyms, you get some people who throw weights down and groan constantly, pretty...
