I have to preface this by saying that I love TRH. My wife and I eat at them usually 2-3 times a month. We used to eat regularly at the one on bethel Rd when it was there, and once that closed switched between Polaris and Reynoldsburg. We were very excited when the one on Hamilton Rd opened since it's close to our house, however we have been disappointed with the service. Tonight was especially bad. We saw our waitress within 5 minutes of being seated which that was good, we gave her our drink order, however the drinks didn't come for another 15 minutes. The girl who brought them wasn't our waitress. This is important only because my father wanted a martini made a certain way and she brought back a shot in a plastic cup. He asked if this is typically how they served martinis and she said "oh, that's not what was written down here, I'll get it fixed" it then proceeded to take another 10-15 min to get it. Once it arrived, it looked like a martini shot! I took a picture! Would have complained but we are over half an hour into this and we just wanted to carry on and order, but the girl who brought the drink back wasn't our waitress, so we wait some more. Now we have been here over 40 minutes all together. I finally get up to and walk to the hostess area and ask them to please send our waitress and they responded "oh, she's in a server meeting" a server meeting at 8pm with every table filled? Are you kidding? What can you do though? I walk back to my table and tell my wife and my parents. We have 2 young children with us as well and any parent knows you have a certain amount of time before the wheels start to fall off. At this point my wife said I don't think we can wait any longer because our youngest was starting to really act up and get wild, so my wife decided to take our youngest and leave and pick up dinner somewhere else on the way home, while I got to stay and eat dinner with my parents and my oldest. About 10 minutes later our waitress came back and we were finally able to get our order put in. At this point the wait for the food was normal and the food was cooked properly, the only downside from this point on was how slow the service was, getting drinks, condiments, etc. I will still eat Texas Roadhouse, but might have to truck it to Reynoldsburg as they seem to be the most...
Read moreWe visited this location about 6 months ago, shortly after it opened. We had a wonderful experience, so decided to return this evening to celebrate my birthday. Tonight was probably the worst dining experience I have ever had.
We were seated promptly at 6:25 and ordered drinks and a kid's meal immediately. We ordered 2 entrees about 5 minutes later. About 10 minutes after the order was placed, the kids meal was delivered. About 15 minutes went by before our server sheepishly came up to our table and stated she had accidently delivered our order to the wrong table, so they would need to re-make our food. Since we would be waiting for a bit, she asked if we wanted to order another round of drinks, which we did. A few minutes later, 2 drinks were delivered (one of which was a Sam Adams, not the Land Grant which was ordered).
After another 20 minutes (7:20ish) we received a visit from a manager, Maddie. She gave a very insincere apology and stated it would be several more minutes because they accidently ordered our replacement meal as 'To-Go' and they were working on re-plating everything (not making fresh). I asked why things were not expedited and double-checked after the first error (as anyone in food service would understand), yet she seemed confused by my question and did not give an answer. Instead, she said she would 'take a little something off' our bill and gave another insincere apology.
Finally at 7:30, over an hour after we were seated, our 2 entrees arrived. The steak was room temperature as if it had been sitting in a To-go box for 10 minutes (because it had) and they did not bring one of the sides (garden salad). At this point, our child had been done eating for 30 minutes and was begging to leave, so we quickly ate our luke-warm food and prepared to pay. Upon viewing my check, Maddie had applied a minimal discount, not even enough to cover the room temperate steak or the 2 extra drinks (which we would have never ordered if there was not a delay). We should have got up and left after the 1st delay. Our mistake.
I am sympathetic to new waitstaff and understand these types of mistakes happen. However once a mistake is identified, competent management should do everything in their power to remedy the situation. Maddie made...
Read moreI will NEVER come here or order my food from here ever again. On February 1, 2025…I spent $88.52 on a take out for my family just to get nasty food. I want my money back. First of all I couldn’t place the order online so i had to go in and place the order. I waited for the manager to come out to take my order. I waited 20 minutes for her to come take my order. Its not like it was that busy in the restaurant . Red flag to me, i should have just left. But no i was trying to be patient. When my order was finally placed i waited almost an hour for it. It was ridiculous. Then when my food finally came out, I was handed a bag of food that didn't have everything i ordered in it. So when I said something about it and was going through my food, The manager seemed a little irritated with me because i was making sure all my stuff was there. And since it wasn’t all there, I had to wait for the rest to be brought out. My food was cold and nasty. The ribs tasted spoiled so i couldn’t eat mine. My daughter’s ribs had hair on them. (Which makes me want to call the health department on them because that’s just plain gross)!!!!! My son’s ribs tasted spoiled like mine did. The chicken was salty and cold. The loaded baked potatoes were all cold. Originally there was supposed to be 1 loaded baked potato and 2 loaded sweet potatoes. But after them realizing they didn’t give me all my food, the manager comes out and tell me that they were out of sweet potatoes and said i could have baked potatoes instead. So thats how we ended up with all loaded baked potatoes. The corn had mushrooms mixed in them, (like what the heck?!!!). along with other pieces of food in them. Smh! This crap was gross and i am highly upset that i spent $88.52. I tried calling back up to the restaurant but got no answer. I am so angry that this took place !
