I have been working out with Matt for almost 1.5 years now. Starting back at the gym at 56 years old was a challenge Matt was perfect for. He really watches your form to make sure it is correct, and offers great tips for achieving such based on what you are doing wrong. And with correct form, I have been able to make gains in weight lifted. As an example, I was able to increase my deadlift 50% in 5 weeks to a number I had earlier told Matt was not achievable. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and offers adjustments or alternative workouts when the occasional ache or pain sets in, which has allowed me to keep a consistent schedule. He has offered advice on equipment and supplements specific to my needs. I have always struggled with being quite skinny and have tried several times to bulk up but ended up losing weight in those attempts. I did the 6 week transformation program with Legacy Gym and they have pushed me further than I thought I could go and really helped me get my nutrition in check. He kept it a buck and told me that I don't need a trainer I just need someone to hold me accountable and make sure I'm consistent. He didn't try to sale me or push a product, he was just transparent about what I needed and that's why I joined. Since I became a member I've felt nothing but support from Matt and Tommy. Even when I fall short they are there to hold me accountable with positive reinforcement. We also have a community within each other as members. Each person there knows they are just trying to be better than they were the day before and we all push each other to reach that whenever we work out together.
