I'm usually skeptical of places that have a bunch of 5-star reviews. Could just be a bunch of fakes or people following the hype. I randomly found this place however, and I'm glad that it lives up to its reputation.
First, I'd like to comment on the warm greeting I received when I entered the restaurant. It's usually not a big deal to me; customers are not special. But I like casualness and I got a really nice vibe from the workers that greeted me.
They have a selection of burgers obviously, as well as some non-burger items if one craves that. I went with the standard option because I like seeing how places handle a "simple" item.
The burger definitely lived up to the hype. It's an actual big burger with a good amount of meat. The buns held up well and did not disintegrate from being held like some places I've been. The ingredients tasted fresh and made the burger look like what you see on advertisements. It was basically the real life version of that realistic burger from the SpongeBob episode where they're making a training video for the Krusty krab. To top it off, the burgers come with fries that actually taste good. For about $14, it was totally worth it.
Finally, I had some chit chat with the manager who was very friendly. He also seemed to treat his employees well, which is a good sign.
Skip the chains and whatever other hyped up places that serve overpriced, mediocre burgers. This is the real deal and it's local businesses like this that deserve success. I will definitely come back and...
Read moreThis place is great! Super big, greasy(in a good way) smash burgers. I had the Stack Burger which is their signature burger. Along with the classic burger toppings it had caramelized onions, homemade in store pickles, and instead of mayonnaise, a delicious garlic aioli, all stacked on a fluffy brioche bun. It was perfectly cooked, almost didn’t fit in my mouth and exploded with flavor on my taste buds. This is a great place to go when you haven’t had a lot to eat because their portions are significant. This is the place to go when you’re craving greasy, stacked burgers that make you need to wash your hands afterwards. We took advantage of the couples deal which was two burgers and two drinks with a shared side of fries for $25. Personally, I would say that’s a great deal. Their fries are great, plus they have soda floats! They’ll put a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream in whichever classic soda fountain soda you choose. It’s set up as a modern countertop diner with minimal seating, but a great vibe. They’ve got pictures all over the walls, up close and personal countertop seating and an open kitchen. The staff are super friendly and the food came out fairly quick, and piping hot. Delicious, generously portioned, fairly affordable burgers? We are totally...
Read moreStopped by on what I believe was the official opening day, Stacked is very close to my apartment so I was hoping to have a great burger place just around the corner. I was not disappointed.
The first thing I noticed on the menu is the folks at Stacked Burger Co. include fries as a side in the price. Considering how many fast-casual burger places have gone to ala carte sides this was really refreshing. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and considering the seating was already nearly full the wait couldn't have been more than 5-10 minutes for my food.
Getting it home the first that is noticeable is how generous the portions are. 1/3lb. burger and so many fries that I literally could not eat another bite when I finished. The burger was juicy, and extremely tender. I went with their BBQ bacon burger which was topped with perfectly crisp bacon and super delicate, crunchy onion straws. (This would normally come with carmelized onions as well but I can't do too many onions.) My wife enjoyed her more standard build-your-own burger that she topped with their house aioli, whish she said was delicious. Absolutely enjoyed everything, would go again in...
