On the 23 of April the Reptile Fest at Oxbow Meadows was held. This was a joy to see and the price was 5 bucks to get in and a few extra dollars for the Canopy which is a trail in the trees. Because the day I went they had all kinds of goodies to do like those inflatable stuff for the children and a wildlife family that brought their pets along. They were not dogs and cats. There were large albino python, a gator, a few hedgehogs and one of those was a albino, and a vulture which turned out to be a very large bird. Plus a few more that I can't remember the names of.

Oxbow meadows is a learning center as far as I know it is open year round but they are off as far as I know on Sundays. The people are nice, the place is clean, your children and you will have a fun time regardless what part of the year you come. One thing to keep in mind is if you plan to take the walking trail and you have small children bring a stroller because the walk goes a long ways. It's only short if you turn around and go back the same way you came.

Don't miss going inside the building and seeing their many awesome aquariums they have set up. They have stuffed animals as well and your children or you can get up close to them.

Oxbow has all kinds of reptiles snakes, turtles of all sizes, gators, lizards and fish. I am sure your children will love it as much as you do. If you want to wait for the next "Reptile Fest" then keep an eye out on its day event held once a year in the spring I believe that adds a few extras for the whole family to enjoy.

It was fun and I plan to go next year if I can. ...

The Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center is a hidden gem! I’ve tried to visit the center before but have only been able to view the exterior of the facility. I finally made it to Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center during regular operating hours and was blown away at what I had been missing. There are multiple rooms with live exhibits, activity rooms, and an auditorium for workshops. They recently had a workshop on bees, which matching the hives they maintain on the grounds on the outside for viewing. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming that I will be returning many times in the future. If you have found this review helpful, like and share the review. Thanks and have...

I look forward to returning to Oxbow again. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and the experience lent it self to lots of learning. The trails were well maintained and fun to walk, including the opportunity to see the wetlands. If you haven’t been and are considering a visit I highly recommend you go. My only wish is that they had more robust offering in their gift shop. I was also disappointed to be offered a plastic bag for what I did purchase. Hoping the environmental learning center will soon go the...

It was a great time in nature and learning about different animals! Got to do some bird watching when we walked a trail, played a game to learn more about the water cycle, then had a picnic on site, and lastly got to meet a few animals and even pet a snake as we learned about different types of science that some animals use to their advantage everyday! Very cool field trip for the kids and its open to the public each day too!

Had a blast today! Went to a birthday party and it was awesome. My girls had a blast. Def will be back to bring my son as well at some point. Located across from the infantry museum on Lumpkin road. Really cool place to check out. The kids got to sit on stage in the auditorium for a special show for the party and got to see reptiles and learn some cool info!
