This place used to be amazing BUT itâs not anymore. Furniture used to be reasonable but I went in last weekend and they had a leather couch for $4,000âŚ. Like really? This furniture is donated to this store for a good cause and the new lady in charge is so greedy. She is charging massive amounts of money for the free furniture that they are getting from Havertyâs, Pottery Barn and other manufacturers in the area.
Iâve furnished most of my house with furniture from the place over the past 6 years. Used to absolutely love it. Itâs terrible now. They look up the value of everything they receive for free as a donation and 50% off the retail price. Their âsalesâ that they list on FB are still crazy expensive. Go to the Christian Outreach thrift store down the street. Youâll find some amazing deals with even better furniture. Donât waste your time or money at this restore. They should be embarrassed by the amount they are charging for âa good cause.â I wouldnât spend over $800 on any piece of furniture if there was no warranty on it. Itâs a gamble on damaged goods (which is usually why they are donated) that isnât worth it especially since everything is final sale.
The parking lot used to be packed out every weekend and stuff was flying out the door like hot cakes. Now thereâs maybe 2 cars in the parking lot and the inside is packed wall to wall with furniture that wonât sell because the prices are astronomical.
Anyways, rant over. Just...
Read moreFantastic Experience at Jackson County Habitat for Humanity ReStore! Iâve been shopping at the Jackson County Habitat for Humanity ReStore for about a year now, and I canât say enough about the amazing customer service and the incredible treasures I've found. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and Nikki, in particular, is a standoutâsheâs sweet, knowledgeable, and always eager to help. On several occasions Iâve noticed Lauren bringing items to the floor and she always greets me and gives me a warm smile. What I love most is that every purchase I make goes beyond just bringing home beautiful, high-quality items; it also supports the ReStoreâs mission of building more homes for families in need. It feels great knowing that my purchases contribute to such a meaningful cause! Recently, I had the pleasure of volunteering for their playhouse builds, where I spent time with the awesome leadership team: Ellie, Guy, Chad, Nikki and Tyonna. They are all incredibly dedicated to making a real difference in Jackson County, and Iâm so glad I got to be a part of their efforts. If youâre looking for household items, unique finds, or simply want to support a great cause, I highly recommend dropping by the ReStore. Youâll find something amazing, and itâs all for a fantastic cause. Trust me, you...
Read moreNEVER AGAIN!!!! The manager (and several of the staff) at this store is not very friendly. They act almost like you are bothering them. It would kill them to smile. I called ahead one day because I wanted to donate a high end (Ethan Allan) bedroom suite.(WITHOUT THE OLD MATTRESS just a solid wood bedroom suite.) The man on the phone told me I had to bring someone with me to unload it and bring it in. I told him I didn't have anyone , but myself and he told me not to bring it! I asked why he couldn't help me and he said. "Sorry, can't help you, take it somewhere else." WTH???? (I know who the man who answered the phone was because I go there a lot. He is a very tall man who is very overweight. But not disabled and capable of helping. They also have men who work in the back.) I used to donate a lot of clothing and household items to them. Now I take my donations, and my business to the ATLANTA UNION MISSION Thrift or the new ST VINCENT DE PAUL thrift stores. They are in the same area (within half a mile)They are extremely and sincerely friendly. They have better inventory, furniture and clothing than the Restore anyway. Plus they restock more quickly than Restore. If I went to the Restore and came back two weeks later they had the very same...
