Well, it was two weeks before Christmas ... my idea was to get my wife a nice quilt that she could wrap herself up in while watching t.v. Currently, she had been using this old blanket, that was faded and threadbare. I wanted something special, I wasn't going to a department store. I Googled quilt shops, and several in my area popped up. The first one I went to said that there were none available, and that I should have ordered a quilt in May if I wanted it for December. I do want to say that they were very friendly, and I believe that they liked my idea, and were not happy that they couldn't help. You can about imagine my panic ... my great idea was not going to happen, as I didn't realize the time involved to make a special item. My next stop was Paradise Quilting, located in Concord, NH. Great location, take exit 13 from 93 North, travel a mile or two, then turn left into the very spacious parking lot ... that was nice! As soon as I walked in, a very cheerful woman said, "Welcome to Paradise!" I chuckled at that, as when I worked, I'm retired now, someone would always say that at the beginning of the workday! Well, I felt a little hopeful that my mission would be accomplished ... friendly people with a cheerful disposition ... hey, nothing is impossible! I was greeted by the owner, Francine Ruel (Fran), and I told her of my idea for a custom quilt for my wife. I must've spent an hour with her. She listened as I told her about my wife, the colors that she liked and her style. Fran showed me at least a half dozen rolls of fabric, each with a different color and pattern. She helped me with the size of quilt I wanted, the backing, the border, the color of the thread, and the 'batting'. Talk about customer service! Trust me, I know about customer service, and she, and her staff were amazing! After I made my selections to make a beautiful quilt, she promised that it would be ready in time for Christmas! I have to say, they were busy, I saw a dozen or so containers of fabric, with customers names on them, that had yet to be worked on ... I told her that if it wasn't ready in time, no problem; I would just get a piece of fabric and put it in a small box and let her know that something special was ordered and would arrive soon. One week before Christmas, I called Fran ... she said the quilt was done, and that they were looking for a box, and would wrap it; and that I could come and get it! Seriously ... even wrap it? WOW ... I hate wrapping! LOL! Oh, I also want to mention, one member of their team stitched a small patch on the back, and embroidered my name, and that this was a gift to my wife, Christmas 2021, on the back ... wow. Fran and her staff at Paradise Quilting & Gift Studio, located in Concord, NH on 163 Manchester Street, Suite 5 did an amazing and darn near impossible job, to please me, the customer! Folks, this is a great place to go if you want to make your 'someone' special,...

The shop associates greet every customer in unison as they walk in the door with âwelcome to paradiseâ. They briefly showed me each and every room and what to find âwhereâ. The owner and associates were all friendly and extremely helpful as I was trying to match up some unique colors/fabrics from home. Everything that I saw online was available in the shop. This is a small but mighty shop! A must if youâre visiting in...

My wife needed last minute help with her quilt and had to work so couldn't reach out personally, so finding help defaulted to me.
I've never quilted a day in my life.
The women at paradise quilting were able to get the quilt finished on a rush, and help with last minute decisions that, frankly, I wasn't qualified to make.
Thank you for everything. The quilt came out perfect and was very...
