This was just a drive on a sunny day. A good friend decided to show me the Lower Baker Damn on Lake Shannon right here in Concrete. This is one of two damns on the Baker river, the other is on Baker Lake upstream (Upper Baker Damn) from Lake Shannon. Below Lower Baker Damn the Baker river joins the Skagit River. At that point of convergence, the Skagit River is wild. There are three damns upstream on the Skagit River, below the last one, Gorge Damn the Sauk River joins the Skagit The Sauk has no damns.
