Before purchasing a skillet from Lancaster cast iron I only occasionally used a cast iron skillet for cooking. After purchasing a No. 8 skillet I immediately noticed how easy it was to use due to its lower weight. Additionally, I found that its ability to rapidly heat up allowed me to start cooking sooner than before. This has helped to save cooking time when I was already running late. The sear I am able to get on meat from the smooth cast iron surface quickly made the No. 8 skillet my pan of choice for the majority of my cooking. Only being replaced in some areas by the No. 10 that I purchased when it became available.

We love all the products from Lancaster Cast Iron. Everything is high quality - from their skillets to their wooden spoons. We have both the no 8 and the no 10 skillets - they are very easy to clean, so smooth, the lightest cast iron skillets on the market, and they just make cooking that much more satisfying and fun.
