Wonderfully implemented rail-to-trail section. The bridge has fantastic elevation which provided a huge panoramic view of the river and the impressive Safe Harbor Dam. The bridge is very wide and accommodates bikes and hikers simultaneously. Mounted binoculars on the side of the bridge are complemented by squares windows in the middle of the bridge which provide a view straight down. Absolutely free. If this area is full, the main parking area at the dam is not far away and it's an easy walk on level pavement. The trail going up to the bridge is on a hill which has a slope which, while not very steep, may still prove to be a challenge to some. There's a section of the trail with stairs, roughly three flights, but there's a small landing area in them so those that need it can rest. Overall, I consider this my favorite scenic recommendation for area along with...

We got to the bridge just as the train went by. There's a stationary binoculars setup on the bridge that can be used for free! And also several little glass windows looking straight down, right in the middle of the bridge. The bridge is well built and perfectly safe for...

Hopefully, a second bridge being reconstructed along the trail and some other sections in the Quarryville area will soon be done so the trail can go uninterrupted to Chester...
