My family (10 of us) stopped by on a day trip (11/2/25) because my sister and neice were visiting from the USVI'S and wanted a taste of home. We stopped at several places in and around the Butler area. Your store was a very disappointing experience. Not because of the selections, but because of your employees attitudes. I asked a question to a younger gentleman ( medium build, curly hair) outside, about the apples and he completely ignored me, and walked away. We walked around and found multiple great items. When I got to the register I told the girl( dark hair pulled up, youngish) I gave my 18 month old granddaughter an apple. Before I could explain that I had a bag of other apples that I included an apple of the same size so she could weigh it with that apple then take it out. She gave me a look, and started to type on the register. When explained what I had done, she doubled down on the attitude and weighed the apples, when I asked her if she took the apple out of the bag, she again got an attitude and said 'yes'. All the while the older lady(darkish, graying hair) at the register next to us glared over her glasses, while she rang my families two orders. My family spent over 300.00 at your store, not that money matters, but we don't steal, or try to scam an apple, but that's exactly how I felt with your employees. You have an amazing store, and I'm sure they treat the regulars well. But they need to treat those of us who went out of their way to visit you as people who support your...
Read moreI was treated VERY rudely on my visit to the Butler Farm Market, recently, because of my religious beliefs and dress. The employees behind the deli counter made rude, biting comments...they actually solicited other patrons to join them and pointed and laughed at me! Seriously? These were older women, too! Not catty teenagers! I wad there with my grandson which only made the experience worse. Im not sure "WHY" people feel the need to interject their beliefs and values into others lives, but I don't think it was ANY of the deli workers business "WHY" I was dress the way I do... nor was it appropriate or acceptable to publicly bully someone AND to solicit other customers to join them! What is this world coming to? I spend my summers here, in Butler, and happened to be back in the winter for a family event... perhaps my religious "garb" looks more 'normal' in the summer, but when did what I wear become YOUR business? And when we're you given the right to bash me publicly? The owner replied to my Yelp comment, stating my experience was a "misunderstanding, and that their team would never disrespect a guest that walks through their door" Well, I'm here to say "YES! They not only WOULD. but they DID! " There was NO misunderstanding! How about I come back, and you can watch...
Read moreI love the market and most of the people are very nice and very helpful. The quality of the meats also appear to be very high. The young woman who helped me in the meat dept. was very pleasant and very helpful. Great job! There is a young woman who works in the deli dept. who was extremely rude however. She has reddish hair and she puts it up high on her head. Stone faced and curt the whole time I dealt with her. She seemed really angry at the world. She should not be waiting on customers. When I got home and was putting away the food I also noticed she also overcharged me $2 a pound for the block of cheese I bought. The price tag showed $6.99 pound and she charged me $8.99 a pound. This is also after I told her I wanted a one pound block of the cheese and she cut a small block and started to wrap it up. I asked her if that was a pound and she said, a pound. Then she turned around and cut another block, weighed it, put in a bag, handed it to me and asked, is that it, with her seemly permanent, stone face. I told her that would be all. Then she turned and walked away. Her rudeness is enough to make me not want to go back. It was in the middle of the week and they weren't that busy at all so it wasn't like she was swamped and stressed. She's just rude and bad...
