GFL Montgomery County Landfill — Local services in Conroe

By far the worse landfill I have ever been to and I own a construction company. I’ve gotten 3 flat tires on 3 different occasions and the tung to my trailer bent once by listening to the people that work there. So I stopped listening on where to empty my trailer because the guy on the dozer is a terrible at his job. I went there yesterday May 26th 2020 and he started to tell me I was emptying my trailer in the wrong spot. Well fear of getting a flat or a broken trailer I decided not to. I then proceeded emptying my trailer anyway and the guy in the dozer blocked me in and wouldn’t let me leave. I argued with him and got him on film cussing at me and telling me to never come back. Once I agreed to never come back he then moved the dozer and let me free. My wife being scared filmed the entire thing. I would rather pay more money and drive further just to avoid this place. The guy on the dozer needs to make it possible for people to drive where he tells them to without the fear of a flat or broken trailer. If there was a “zero” starts option I would have selected that instead...

Expensive and disorganized. We only came here because the place we normally go to was closed. Waited in line and paid triple the amount we usually do and had to unload everything ourselves. Was told to drive down the path and that someone would direct us where to go. Nobody directed anyone where to go, so people were just driving wherever and cutting in front of other people while the person who was supposed to be directing people was driving a bulldozer in the landfill. Huge pieces of rebar and other metal all over the area where you drive. Would not recommend, but we were glad...

Excellent service and very clean for a landfill. Workers were actually running a magnet over the area you have to drive to remove nails that could cause flats. Bilingual Hispanic workers and lots of other Hispanic customers there. Really made us feel welcome. They have a lot of good information on their website about what they can and can’t take there and how they charge. Be sure to bring your safety vest or you can buy one there. They really look out for the safety of the people dumping with that big equipment so close. Will definitely be...
