This is an actual event and IF you get the misfortune of speaking to a “Wanda”, I give you my sincere condolences. For Christmas my aunt gave the women of our family monogrammed Marleylilly shirts but, my mom’s was too large and I didn’t like the color of mine. I contacted Marleylilly explaining that I didn’t want to tell the “giver” that her gift was too big/not a desirable color pattern so I asked for store credit. I was able to provide my aunt’s email to find the order, I also wanted return an item I’d given my sister. They agreed to credit the items, I even have written confirmation of reps agreeing to these terms. There had been some confusion with the refunded amnt so, I informed my aunt and she was able to send me her receipt so I could confirm I was getting the correct amnt back. They received the items back and I was told a credit would show up on my acct but, it didn’t match the prices we paid. I called in, and the rep told me these items were bought at a discount but I couldn’t see that on my end so, she advised that a mang would call back. Jessica called; I explained I couldn’t see all the details of the order but, on my end the prices weren’t matching, plus one of their employees had created a return for the wrong item. Jessica stated she was going to put me on hold to calculate the total and next thing I know I’m transferred to someone named Wanda, who is manic! Wanda kept accusing me of speaking with her in November, which never happened, 2/4 was the first day I spoke with Wanda. She told me this was my mistake because I created the return and I selected the wrong item. I referred back to a ongoing email I had with Kelli H, who created it and SHE SELECTED THE WRONG ITEM, not me! I tried explaining this to Wanda; she said that Kelli H had been an employee there for a while and she trusted that what she had done was correct but, when I emphatically explained it WASN’T she told me “it’s irrelevant to you and I don’t see what difference it makes”. I went on to try and explain to her that one item was wrong along w/the wrong amnt refunded! Wanda stupidly kept interrupting saying “I don’t understand what your problem is and if you can’t explain it to me I’m going to disconnect”, the lady never let me get a word in but, what little I could explain I’m not sure why she can’t grasp that “this isn’t the full amount my aunt and I originally paid therefore, I want the correct amount credited back”. I disconnected with her and proceeded to make a purchase with the credit I had, moments later Wanda called claiming that the address on my acct/address on my card “didn’t match” and she was canceling my order. I confirmed my address with her, she said it matched but she refused to try again. Wanda lied to me claiming that this was something “my bank” had marked “fraud” and I would need to take it up with them. I told her I was confused why this was coming back as fraud; I called my bank 3 times and each time the tellers said they saw no error BUT they could see where Marleylilly had rejected the transaction. I tried explaining this yet, she condescendingly told me “apparently you’ve never used a card before”, said she would prefer that I no longer shop with them, revoked the store credit and said “if these items were a gift, than you shouldn’t be returning them anyway”. What kind of world does she live in where you can’t exchange a gift for the correct size w/“proof of purchase”? If something has transpired with my aunt’s account then she needs to take it up with her! Meanwhile, I’ve returned 3 items that have all been paid for in full and she refuses to refund me! She also refuses to let me purchase from their store. So, now my mom has to buy these items all over again and we’re out the cost of 6 items with no guarantee that will even receive any! After completing the review of my dissatisfaction, Marley Lilly sent me email saying they saw that I was unhappy with my purchase, Ashley contacted me so they could make this right. Per request, I sent my order number. Upon receipt of the order number, I receive an email from Cierra A. giving me the dimensions of the bag and telling me how it was there for me to see if I would look. I have the bag, I don't need the bag measurements and blaming me because I didn't look more closely. When I emailed them back, I conveyed that I should have gone with Coach like my husband told me to. At the same time as reading Cierra's email, I received a second email from Ashley telling me they want to make this right. At the same time, their reps are giving conflicting information. Marley Lilly has lost my business due to their customer service representative. To be clear, not everyone wants something free. I reviewed honestly so someone else doesn't make the same mistake. Read moreI found MarleyLilly through a Google search when I was looking for a travel bag that would slide over the handle on my rolling suitcase for easy transport while I am on vacation in Europe. I found the perfect bag and the fact that they monogram was just icing on the cake! I ordered that bag and a small crossbody bag for the same trip. When the bags arrived, the large one looked great, however the smaller crossbody bag’s monogramming was really off center vertically and horizontally. Because it was such a small bag/surface it was even more noticeable. I called the customer service number and spoke to Ashley. She was incredibly nice! I was able to easily text her the pics of the bag and once she saw the stitching she agreed to send me a brand new bag and even put a rush on the shipping to make sure I have it before my trip. This is my first experience with this company and I have to say that I am EXTREMELY pleased with their customer service. In a time where customer service is truly lacking from most businesses. I understand that mistakes happen, it is how you deal with them that makes the difference.
